I had the same problem with my Bichonpoo puppy. I was told to take her for short rides ignore the whining and when she was quiet praise her. I did this. Then I started taking her on longer trips and ignoring the whines and praising the silence. I keep her in a booster seat in the car. She now sleeps in the booster seat for all our trips I never hear a peep out of her. She is the best dog in the car. The whole thing only took 2 weeks. She is now 4 months old and I never had a better traveling companion.

Try getting a puppy car seat, if you can't afford that, try a box cut down with her bed in it. It will help her feel more secure. If you are going on a long trip, your vet can prescribe a mild sedative that will help calm her. There is also the possibility that she gets car sick. Try putting her up high enough that she can see out the windows.

Make the dog think you are going to buy it treats. You know what to do.
