Nothing.

Boston Terriers, the official name, as I said before, originally was Boston Bull Terrier. But the Bull Terrier groups didn't like the fact that this sweet gentleman dog had the same name as their tough boys.

But the Boston is derived from a Bulldog and a Terrier, developed in Boston, thus truly being entitled to being called a "Boston Bull Terrier" (which is how some people still refer to them, over a century later!).

Again, go to the numerous Boston Terrier sites for further info on this sweet breed.

Nothing. Boston Terriers *used* to be referred to as "Boston Bull Terriers". They just dropped the "Bull" in their name.

Nothing, just the old school vs new school name. I love my Boston. They also used to weigh between 40-50lbs, bred for fighting. I like the scaled down version.
