I have a 1 year boxer who has a swollen tail. Their doesn't seem to have any kinks in it but she won't let anybody touch her tail. The tail doesn't seem to be causing her serious pain but she is only wagging the tip of her tail and not the whole tail. What should I do?

i have do dogs and the get a long really well most of the time and lately they have been fighting. not play fighting actual fights. The little dog always bites the bigger dog on the ears and stuff and now the bigger dog is fighting back what should i do?

i saw a cat today and the owner said he/she was retarded...is this common in cats and dogs?..i've never heard of it before...the cat was walking weird and the owner said it did fall off of tables and couches before...just vundering....thanks...

we recently got a new dog from the shelter and on the way home he got car sick!! well a few days later we took him to pet smart and he got car sick again. is there anyway to prevent this?? is this just his nerves or what?? we need to take him to our vet soon for a check up and to get his records straight, but we are afraid he will get sick again any suggestions will be greatly appreciated because i really wanted a dog that liked to go for rides with me!!!!

I just came home and found that the 3 dogs I'm sitting for ate 2 entire pumpkin pies, and if that's not bad enough...they've eaten the majority of the pie tins and foil that was covering them. I don't know whether to scream at them or take them to the vet... If anyone has any info PLEASE HELP!

My cat had a brother who we adpoted at the same time. His brother died about 1 year ago. I absouletly can not get another cat but my cat, Smokey, really misses his brother. he goes in our basement (the last place he saw his brother before we took him to be put to sleep) and cries. I really want to help Smokey but i don't know how.
Also:
My cat is a Maine Coon Tabby, know for not liking being alone, being big, and keeping their youth(he is SO playful)

She should deliver around December 10th, she is an American Eskimo, about 14 pounds (not pregnant). Her belly is getting round and very firm, and her nipples are getting larger, but I cant feel any puppies. Should i be able to feel puppies? Someone told me I would feel little golf ball shapes, and those were the puppies. Is there someone out there who can answer this?

Please no lectures... I did NOT breed her..... accidents do happen, she will be fixed AS SOON AS IT IS SAFE to do so after the pups are born.

I have been doing a lot of reading about birthing pups, and care of both the pups, and my Female, but I can't find anything about this issue!

Any friendly advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a friend whose neighbor keeps "snake/s" in his town home. Couple of questions a) is it legal to keep snake/s, as a pet in a residence? b) the neighbor (the one not with the snake) got this fear--in case of fire or water flood or some other emergency situation could the snake escape and make its way to the neighboring "safe" house/s? If yes, how do you deal with the presence of an unwanted snake in one's home, specially when you have a pet dog? Step by step advice appreciated.

My cat darla has not been able to accept our newest cat, gabby into the house!!. She is like constantly afraid/at war with her.

Gabby was adopted from a mean house hold, so when we first adopted her we kept her in my sisters room. and darla would always sleep in my room. but when darla saw gabby she didnt get along and eventually they kept fighting, and now darla can't go down the hallway which leads to my room. it is kinda gabby territory, but darla used to sellp on my bed all the time but now she never does. She used to not mind being picked up too much, but now if you even try she runs away and meows unhapily and stuff. If i try to bring her to my room, she always makes this kinda hissing noise but its her breathing heavily because shes nervous or something. she makes the same noise if she sees gabby too. I think she is always stressed out.. but i dont want her to be. i just want her to be able to sleep in my room again.

My 10 month old Jack Russel changed her coat from a smooth and short to a long and crispy, specially on her back.
Is this normal? Is it a winter coat and it will eventually get back to a short furr again?

I know a whole lot about them. Like. A lot. But I keep hearing people being like, "They're not like cats or dogs, so ___." And I don't get it. What is it that makes them SO different? They're mischievious? So's my cat (hellishly, hellishly so). You have to constantly clean their cage and after them? So do you after many cats and dogs I've been around.
They're dependent like dogs (although more so). They're clean and litterboxy like cats. They smell like both cats and dogs. They constantly mess with your things not only like some cats/dogs but also like little kids. You can train them similiarly to a dog. They're largely self-serving like cats. Eeeet cetera.

So what is it?

I will make this quick and understandable i am a foster mom for kittens and cats that come into the shelter mostly i get moms and kittens..i have a mom cat right now who im keeping and a kitten who i decided to keep..the kitten is about 3 and a half months old and his mother has begain to be in heat..i just cought him imatating sex with her!! could he get her pregnant at this young age? they will not allow kittens to be fixed until 5-6months of age and the mom cant be fixed until a week after the kitten is fully weaned and hes still feeding off her at least 3 times per day!! how did he learn this behavior?? well i also have 4 neautered males in the home that also imatate sex did he learn that behavior from them? sorry about the long questions but im very worried my biggest question is can a 3 and a half month old kitten get his mom pregnant?if u can post a link for a source that i can review the answer to this it would be great! thanks ever so much!
