I have a 29 gallon fresh water tank, Ammonia:0 nitrite:0 nitrates:10
Have green alege in water, it's not growing on anything, it's just turning the water green. Will this go away in time? I usually do a 25% water change once a week. would doing a change twice a week help? ... there are two green cat fish, one dwarf gourami, and three bloodfin tetras in the tank. thanks, ~J~

I put wormer in food for all 3 of my cats. I think maybe this one ate some of the other cats food and got too much. It says on the package that muscle tremmors are a sign of overdose. He threw up after eating the food (2days ago) and started having "twitches" and seeming to loose his balance last night. I called my vet and she is away for the holiday. The emergency vet wants $700 to treat him, which I cannot afford. I feel AWFUL...like I poisoned my cat!!! Does anyone have any suggestions/information that might help? Thanks.

My kitten who is 5 months old eats dry kitten formula science diet throughout the day ( I leave it out all the time ) but I give her moist twice a day... I read alot of stuff about tuna being bad for cats but I'm curious if that means tuna flavored cat food as well - my cat loves any seafood flavored cat food - seafood platter, sardines, tuna supreme - anything seafood - all cat food none are people food but when I try to feed her chicken or turkey or any other red meat (also cat food) she really doesn't want to eat it and won't eat any kitten formula moist food. Is this alright or feeding her only seafood cat food bad??

My greyhound got her tail caught in the door and has a small wound on her tail. I cleaned off the blood with a warm cloth and am on my way to the pet store to get some gauze. She is not in any pain, should I take her to the vet or just keep an eye on it for the next few days. What would be some signs that I should take her to the vet?

I have two 9 month old Rotties and I have them on Nutro Choice for large breed and Nutro Choice dog treats for the past 3 months, but their stool is still runny and they take a dump at least three times each after feeding. Sometimes its firm and a lot of times its loose. They are outside often not confined to a crate or a tree. I make sure they keep everything that shouldnt be in their mouth out. What food should I get them on? or take them to the high price vet? HELP!!!!

My cat had to have an emergency catheterization yesterday, and has to take 3 kinds of medicine - a liquid antibiotic (I can manage this one), a steroid pill, and a gel pain killer that goes on his gums. I got the pill plunger from the vet, but he is freakishly strong and wiggles away before I can get it in his mouth! I have tried crushing his pills before and mixing them with tuna or soft cat food, but he knows it's in there and won't eat it. He doesn't like any treats or cheese either, so that's not an option. I'm out of ideas, so any helpful suggestions would be great. Thanks!!

The question is. What are some of the potential causes? His diet has not been changed. His activity level has not changed. He is as vocal as ever. Now, here is what I am hoping is a potential problem. I neglected to give him water all day yesterday until 10:00 or so last night. I get up this morning and there is like puddles. I was thinking he may have been dehydrating and then consumed so much water, that it was going through hime quicker than usual. Comments appreciated. Please lay off the "you are a bad owner" tab, because he is more than well taken care of. He just costed me $600.50 for an illness that has still not been diagnosed. The Doctor ruled out any virus he could think of. The thing that confused him was his "white blood cell count" was @ 24,000 when he was brought in. He should be @ around 10,000-12,000 I believe he said. AFTER the antibiotics the count actually went up to over 27,000. He is stumped. Bird is 3 years old. Any help's appreciated!

Sincerely, Concerned Owner
