I also have a very muddy pasture, can it be used to help the mud from being so thick or will it cause problems with fungus or bacteria on the horses legs?

If you could keep any animal as a pet, (no restrictions here, assume that you can afford to feed it, keep it in a proper enviornment, and that the animal would be happy with human interaction) what animal would it be and why?

Me I would keep a koala, in reality I know they are mean, and in no way able to be kept as pets, but seriously I just want to cuddle one lol!!

A young man was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from college. While
he was walking through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant
standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed
so the man approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee and
inspected the elephant's foot. There was a large thorn deeply embedded in
the bottom of the foot. As carefully and as gently as he could he worked
the thorn out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly
put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man and with a rather
stern look on its face, stared at him. For a good ten minutes the man
stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the
elephant trumpeted loudly, turned and walked away. The man never forgot
that elephant or the events of that day.

I'm going on a trip to see my family in Texas and since my husband is deployed his family has offered to take his overly hyper beagle for the year he is gone. It's going to be an 9 hour car ride and I have no idea if he gets carsick, but I do know that he has and will jump all over the place including on my infant son. My mother in law told me that one tab of Benadryl would be ok to give him to sedate him through the trip. Our beagle is about 25-27 lbs and the doses of benadryl come on 25 mg tabs. What is safe and can I do that? My mother in law said her vet told her to do the same with her dogs and they are around the same size as our beagle, maybe even a little lighter. I trust my mother in law, but I still want to be safe.

We got him from a shelter when he was a puppy a year ago. He hides under the bed during the day and is afraid to come out into the backyard in the morning. At night he is ready to party, happy as can be and not afraid of anything. Almost like a coyote or something. You would think that if he was abused before we got him that he would be fine by now. Strangest dog ever.

I just recently got a two year old female Maltese that will be an indoor dog. I have two outdoor dogs, one is a husky and the other is a chow/german sheppard mix. When Izzy (the Maltese) goes outside, she starts barking and growling at the other two dogs and acts very territorial. What can I do to fix this problem?

He kicks his back legs out spastically or shakes his arms and head. It seems like a seizure almost. This first happened almost a month ago when we put him back in the tank after cleaning it and is now happening again. Should I take him to a vet? Has anybody ever heard of this?

I own two Boxers. The one with the problem is about 5 or 6 years old. (She was rescued so we aren't sure.) Whenever we aren't home she chews on the bottoms of her feet and they are starting to turn raw. We give her plenty of toys to play with and our other dogs should be keeping her company so I don't know why she does it!

Does anybody else have this problem? Is it a nervous problem or just a bad habit?

Hi. My cat gets car sick, but we need to travel with him for the holiday. I'd like to make the trip as comfortable as possible for everyone. My vet said to give our kitty Dramamine. Has anyone done this before? I don't want to totally knock him out, and dramamine is strong. We'll give him only a little, but I'm still concerned about the side effects.

If I'm going to crate an 8 week old puppy, should I free feed him or should I feed him once in the morning before I leave, once when I get home (5:30) and then again at 9 pm. ?

My breeder advised me to feed him 3 times a day but he will be crated for 9 hours. Is this too long for him to go without eating?

Let me know if you crate, if so, how long per day and the feeding methods.

I would appreciate any helpful advice. Serious responses only!!!!
