If you could keep any animal as a pet, (no restrictions here, assume that you can afford to feed it, keep it in a proper enviornment, and that the animal would be happy with human interaction) what animal would it be and why?
Me I would keep a koala, in reality I know they are mean, and in no way able to be kept as pets, but seriously I just want to cuddle one lol!!

This might be silly, but I'm taking the no restrictions to a whole new level... A talking, fire breathing, water diving, air flying Dragon. I could ride on his back through the air and under water. We could talk together and the fire breathing is just for fun...

I work at a zoo in the summers and with all of the animals there, I would pick a bobcat, kangaroo, or a camel.
Tigers and Cougars as well as other big cats- nice to pet through the fence, but they would rip your throat out- always have to be on edge because you are food. Wolves- same thing. While they treat you like one of the pack, that also includes rough playing which could hurt ALOT by an adult. (we are getting a wolf pup this year at the zoo-I am excited!) Zebras- extremely mean. Raccoons- you either get a good one or you dont, wallabies- get untame once they hit 1 yr. Foxes- never actually tame up, no matter how much you work with them (got scars to prove it) and bears are nice to play with until they can smack you around.

I'm still a cat person. Llamas would be interesting, but would need to stay outside. A cat on your knee after a hard day is so relaxing, I don't think I'd ever swap.

for me it would be a camel. we had a traveling zoo at a local mall pass through a few years ago. there was a camel there named gunther. he was so lovable. they were there for 3 days. we went everyday. when he would see us(even if someone else was by him) he'd leave them,comeover to me and give me a hug by putting his head on my shoulder and leaning it toward me.

penguions or spider monkey s peguins are cute and spider monkeys are entertining or a humen sense werre animals but that would be slavory
