She may be deaf to certain pitches or at certain volume levels. Being deaf is a matter of degrees. It is also possible that she is reading clues with what is going on around her. She may be able to predict things based on a routine you have at home. She maybe seeing you moving out of the corner of her eyes. She may be feeling the vibration (from the sound or your movement).
My cat has recently gone deaf and she fakes me out sometimes because she knows our routines. :o) Now, when I get home after work, I flash the lights to let her know I am home -- and as long as she is ins't hiding in the closet again, she will come out to say hello.

It is possible that your cat can be partially deaf and can hear certain pitches better than others. Also, it may be that she is feeling the vibration from the sound rather than actually hearing it.
Also, we have had people come into our clinic assuming their cat is deaf simply because it is white with blue eyes. Not all blue-eyed, white kitties are deaf. Just an fyi. :-)

If she’s deaf as a door knob, than she not hearing anything. It could be possible that she is not totally deaf and can hear certain pitches. However, it’s more likely that kitty is sensing the vibrations, either through the pads on her feet or her whiskers.

of direction it rather is merciless, how are you able to think of it would not be whilst the cat's vocal chords are decrease via? are you able to think of the way it is going to experience to no longer have the flexibility to grant voice? think of talking and making a music all your existence, regardless of in case you could desire to hearken to your self or no longer, and then without warning all you're able to do is croak...do no longer you think of you would be in ask your self and traumatised and doubtless even seek for counselling? And yet you're waiting to wilfully harm this cat irrevocably. this is previous theory that anybody ought to evaluate it or think of it may desire to be a favorable element. extra to which you have been spraying this undesirable, costly, deaf cat with water and he has no theory why you're doing it to him! Your chum ought to tell the neighbours to get a existence, if she has permission to have the cat there this is purely to be predicted that there'll be a definite volume of noise. Does no person else in the block have a canines that barks or a television or music performed loudly? you could no longer shop on mutilating animals to extra healthful yourselves united statesa., awaken and know that cats and canines have rights, they have thoughts, they experience concern, soreness, frustration and love purely like we do. Your chum needs to think of lower back and quickly! there is not any justification for this nightmare state of affairs, to have even researched it on the internet makes me heavily ask your self at your friends, and your, psychological state! She ought to flow, rehome the cat or tell the neighbours to p*** off

NO...if your sure she is deaf... it is the "vibrations" she is feeling..not the sounds that she is hearing.
