Due to health reason of my own and now moving I sadly have to rehome my beautifull Golden Lab who is microshipped and fully vaccinated and wormed.Had basic training.
He has a great temperment and a few chewing habbits but other wise he is just a loveable fella.
Likes to play fetch and I have advertise and the cost to do that just blew me away, so I cant afford that anymore and to surrender him to the pound will just cost as much so how can I find a good home for my pooch when advertising kills the budget big time, when i got moving cost to worry about.
Also the notice boards in my area keeps loosing notices so I am for ever putting up notices about him.
I have tried the local vets in my area and still not one responce and its been a month.
With a month to go before i move to my new home that sadly dont allow large dogs.
Please can any one help with ideas on how to rehome a pooch in such a short time.

Hi, my two dogs (Shar and Sanchez) are brother and sister, Rottweiler X Bullmastiff and about 10 months old.

Yesterday a cat came into the yard and was unfortunate enough to get mauled to death by the dogs. A friend who also has a pup from the same litter has killed a cat too already...

People tell me now they have a taste for blood, theyll go for anything (maybe kids too) but they are soooo lazy most of the time, i just cant see it happening.

I know some more wild breeds (half dingo, wolf or huskies for example) can get a shot to calm the angry side of their personality...

i saw the whole thing and it just freaked me out a wee bit!

I'd have to say the Peregrine Falcon I've seen one of these birds take a pigeon from midair. Amazing

I know its incredibly hard, but I try real hard. Im in college now and Im doing pretty well but theres always that one class that seems to be holding me back. Im terrified because if I dont succed then I dont know where else to go with my degree. I do well but I always look around in my class and see other people we do better and I always think "If im the vet student then why arent I the one with the best grades, why are the people who arent trying to be vets doing better then me, and If I cant be the best then maybe im not cut out to be a vet." I guess im looking for peoples opinion, is it worth staying in my major and pushing through, I love animals and my dream job is to be a vet but I dont want to fail and end up a farmer, which is pretty much the alternative in my major. Do I stay with it, or do I get out while I still can?

I don't want to send him back to the shelter. The day we got him, he was scheduled to be put down. He's a dachsund mix. He's really calm. I have a baby who pulls on his ears and tail and he just sits there. E-mail me at jonesytvr@hotmail.com if interested. Thanks.

Just since August I've adopted two dogs. Everyone has an opinion about what breed(s) these dogs may be. Care to take a guess?

The white/tan dog is rumored to be Jack Russell Terrier/West Highland Terrier - her pics can be found here:

The black/white dog is rumored to be Chihuahua/Italian Grehound - her pics can be found here:

Let me know what you think! :)

OK, I currently have 3 dogs: Aly a 9 year old German Shepherd who I rescued when she was 3 years old, Tani a 5 year old Beagle who I rescued when she was 3 1/2 years old and was blind and Zoe a 2 year old Labrador Retriever who is 7 years old and who I also rescued when she was 4 years old.
I have rescued MANY other dogs from the shelter and now I have a dilemma.

I went to a rescue shelter a few days ago and fell in love with a beautiful 6 year old Border Collie named Molly. She is adorable, sweet and affectionate. I brang Tani and Zoe with me to see Molly and they got along with each other really well.
I also went to go see a litter of Portugee Water Dogs a week ago and fell in love with a beautiful little puppy. Obviously, I can't get both as I need a license to have more than 4 dogs and don't really want to have to get that lisence - I think 4 is enough.
The PWD are beutiful and I know all about the breed. Come from Ch. lines, are screaned etc.
Advice on what to do?
Thx

My dog seems to howl every 5 seconds. Even when he's inside just comin from outside and after a short nap. I kind of thought he might be in some kind of pain.

I don't want to rush her to the vet for nothing is she's not. She is a 5 year old Beagle, who was getting round with age to begin with. It's just that recently like the last few weeks she's gotten rounder than usual. Her nips have always been big to begin with so I can't use that as a sign.

The last one we had included classes like:
squash the egg (get your horses to trample an egg)

chug a lug (run down the arena, dismount, drink a cup of mountain dew, mount, run back)

monkey on a barrel (run down to a barrel, rider2 hops on behind you and you run back)

Magazine search (get a number, run down to a magazine on a barrel, dismount, rip out the page of your number, mount run back)

ribbon race (you and a partner run down and around a barrel without breaking the crep (sp?) paper your holding between you)

Bareback switch (run down bareback to your horseless partner, switch places, partner runs back)

Can anyone think of others?

I just moved to a new place and the situation I am in causes me to have the litter box in my room. Since I would like to cover it for obvious reasons, I bought a new covered one for my kitty. She wouldn't use it, so I took the lid off so she could get used to using the new box. That worked fine, but when I put the cover on, she refuses to use it. Is there anything I can do to make her use it with the lid? Thanks for your help.

Whenever I have ice cream, he always wants a lick. I've let him have a few licks but I don't want to give him anything that may be hurting him or not good for him.

me and my girlfreind found these stray puppies, and we're trying to potty train them, and it doesn't seem to work! i take them outside for atleast 15 minutes at a time, and they will do their business, and as soon as they come in they will ****/piss all over the place even though they already did it! and i ******* lose control! i feel bad afterwords that i scream at the top of my lungs at them, and spank them! i tell them they are good, and give them treats when they do it outside (ans pet them) do they like to be punished? also how can i keep my temper down?

Hi

I got my mice a few weekes ago and recently one of them has started acting strange. It has started to jerk and jump around in a way that looks unnatural. Almost like it has twitches but, bad. Why would it be happening??

He loves to be petted, but after you pet him for a few seconds. He sticks his rearend towards you. Like he wants to be petted there. I heard somewhere that animals "moon" for certain reasons. Anyone know if this would be "mooning" and why it always does this. TIA

We just got our 6 month old chihuahua spaded, and shes leaking. She has never had this problem before. She is very good at waiting to use the bathroom. She urinated 4 times today, and has let out "drops" every where she walks. Has this ever happened to anyone? Do you think it's an infection? Do you think it's related to the Spade?

We just got a puppy that's a chihuahua and cocker spaniel mix. Her records show that she's do for another deworming in a couple weeks. She was sitting in my lap, and when she got up, there was a lone, white worm on my lay where she sat. We checked her stool, and there weren't any little worms in there, but it's been twice that's she gotten up, and a little worm has been left behind. We haven't even had her 24 hours. Can I get her dewormed tomorrow? If she rubbing her booty along the carpet when it itches, is she spreading worm eggs? I have an 8-year-old, and now I'm concerned. Do I have to have the entire house dewormed? I'm nervous because this is the first time I've ever had a puppy myself? Please help.
