There is no absolute way to tell for sure. However, a scar on her belly would be a good indication. However, my dog has a scar andturned out she's NOT fixed, she must have has some other abdominal surgery. See if you can find out from the place you got her. Most shelters will spay/neuter the animals, and they should be able to tell you. If you gotit from a breeder, they should know for certain. If she's a stray you found, then the scar is probably your best bet. You'll find out for sure wthin 6 months;)

Go to the tail end of the dog. Count the nipples. Between the second and third from the end, that is the zone that the scar will be in ...vertical...half way in between the rows.
But that might not be the only surgery to have a scar. Let the vet tell you.

You could see if you could find the scar on her tummy. It may have blended in and be hard to see but if you can find one it would be a pretty good sign.

most spayings leave a small line, about an inch long, which is scar tissue. you SHOULD be able to tell just by examining her stomach

Scar tissue on her tummy. If you can't see it you will still be able to feel hardened tissue where it is.

"Attack of the nitwits!" .....again!

Dogs RARELY show ANY scarring,a C-SECTION incision(or any other surgery!) is just as likely as a SPAY...etc.

VET may be able to PALPATE or do an ultra-sound.

*********WHY********** didn't you get this info when you got the animal???
