My cockatiel is about nine months old and she's developed a habit of grinding her beak together. Is that normal or ok? My previous cockatiel never did anything like that before.

Plus she has just a weird personality -- I have NEVER seen a bird like her before. When I let her sit ontop of her cage while I'm reading next to her or something she'll jump around and sing different tunes at different speeds and she'll play like hide n' go seek with me whenever I look up at her... she turns around and jumps and occasionally she bangs her beak on the cage. Is that a possible cause? Any answer helps. Thanks!

My 5 month old kitty is walking around on me, trying to help me type and chasing the arrow around the screen. lol.
It's cute but kinda annoying at the same time.

I have owned my bird for going on ten years, I am a caring owner, and I have made sure that he is comfortable, yet he still won't warm up to me. He lets me stroke him, takes food from my hand, and has landed on me once, yet he still won't get on my hand or shoulder. I have recently left for college, so he cannot be around me much anymore, but when I'm home he goes nuts when he sees me, giving his happy calls. I'm pretty confused at this point, who has an answer for me?

SORRY THIS IS LONG>
Before I start I want to say something, I'm looking at all of the related questions, and this is not a question f I am a bad owner because I didn't get my dogs spayed/neutered. I have a great dane mix, she is very skinny, she used to resemble an old fashioned keyhole. I just rescued a pittbull puppy and he was supossed to be nuetered the friday after halloween. She was standing for the male and they got stuck together, on halloween, and two days after. He got fixed the next day. They only got 'stuck' twice, but now her abdomen is straight up and down on either side as opposed to the curve she used to have. She's also been more agressive towards te other dogs when eating. The vet said it's too early to tell. Do you thnk that she's pregnant, OR, is it too soon for her to show anything, and there's somethng seriously wrong.

Within the next year I shall be moving out of my parents house, I am going to be really lonely, but also, I have wanted a pet since I was 8 and our cat was taken to the shelter by my dad because we moved away from our old house.
I have two hamsters, but I know a cat\dog (what I want) will be harder to care for and more expensive to. I have looked up generalised costs and am willing to budget for it. I was hoping to get a puppy\kitten and take all my paid vacation at once to accustomise it to me.
If I get a cat I really don't know what kind I want - most cats I have known I have liked for their personality not looks. I guess it will be hard to tell what a kittens personality will be in advance.
As for a dog, I was thinking a pug, pugs seem really funny and stubborn (in an amusing way). I'm not sure because I don't like their health issues,it seems cruel to create demand for something that is unhealthy intrisicly. Either way I want an animal that is small and I can cuddle up watching tv.

It has to be small/toy, get along with cats, not need a fenced yard (I'll take it for walks), basically a good "first-dog." I've gone back and forth between so many of the small breeds, I can't decide! Some of the ones I've looked at are chihuahua, staffordshire bull terrier, italian greyhound, pomeranian, and papillon. Any owners of those?

It was either marajuana or xanax. If it was the marajuana, it would've only been a joint's worth. If it was Xanax, it could've been at the most, four .50's. No lectures please. We rushed her to the animal hospital where they're keeping her overnight. She was stumbling and very lethargic but barking like she was crazy. It was all very sudden. She was a perfectly healthy 6 month old Sheltie and all of the sudden, this happened. I had the RX for the Xanax and I do keep it in my medicine cabinet but I accidentally dumped it in bed (where she was napping) the other day but I was pretty sure I found them all. My bf smokes weed sometimes and may have dropped a little. He's quitting now, he feels so bad. We don't have kids. I love my puppy so much and will never get over it if she's not okay. Once again, no lectures. People make mistakes. Remember, we've all done something stupid.

We have two kittens age 6 1/2 and 8 1/2 months. We have only had them since September 1st.

We have a very small house. We would like a cut tree, but know they will attack it.

Any suggestions?

I have a Dachund/Chihuahua mix and he is 11 months old. Well he has started doing this more and more and I am not sure what the problem is. He will pee and walk at the same time. Kinda like dogs do when they are scared or excited except he just does it for no reason at all. Anyone know what the problem could be???

I have just bought an Alexandrine Parrot. She is lovely. She is 8 weeks old and had been hand reared. I am after some advise on what I should feed her to keep her healthy. Also can anyone tell me how to train her. I work all day and at night time I will be spending time with her. I woudl like to get her used to me and my partner and for her to be able play happily be herself when we are not home. I have set up the spare bedroom in my house for her. I have put a large rope around the room and have conected it to her cage. She seems to like it. She isnt doing much at the moment. She has only been home for a day, I am sure she will get more comfortable over time. I am worried I am not giving her enough toys to play with. I am going shopping today to get some wooden toys, I know I need to get edible ones because they love to chew. What else should I get her. I gave her some apricot last night and she loved it, what else shoudl I give her apart from the seed mix?

I have been feeding three feral cats outside for the past several months. They were originally left there by their mother when they were kittens. I tried to catch them, but couldn't. Now they're about 6 or 7 months old. I love these guys like they were my own kids. They've become friendly and playful, and I named them all. Now, I have to part with some of them, and it breaks my heart. If I leave them running wild in my back yard, the females will get pregnant and have litters all over the place. Not only that, but they could easily get run over or injured in some way. Thank God they haven't so far. There are some very cruel people in this world
who like to torture animals for the fun of it, and I have some real jerks for neighbors. I want to find these little guys a place to live, without them ending up being euthanized or confined to a small cage for the rest of their lives. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Sick answers will be reported.
