My Dalmatian, Beau(rest his soul) had one blue eye and one brown eye. He was absolutely beautiful and really smart. The lady who said that the blue/brown eye situation could be a sign of a deafness problem in the future was absolutely correct. As a matter of fact my friend has a male Dal who has two blue eyes. He is completely deaf. He is nine years old now but has been deaf since he was very young. Her doberman acts as his ears. They do very well together.I have a basset hound pup now, He has two beautiful, sad brown eyes and I swear he's deaf as a post!!! He sure can't hear me tell him to stop or to come here.LOL. I guess he will get better with age.

No. It depends upon their genetics. The most common eye colors for Dalmatians is two brown eyes. Dalmatians with blue eyes tend to have hearing loss. If a Dalmatian has one blue eye and one brown eye, they may be deaf in the ear nearest the blue eye.

No. Most Dalmatians have brown eyes. The blue eyes are a recessive gene which is frequently linked to deafness in Dalmatians. I actually have never seen one with one brown eye and one blue eye.
I have 2 Dalmatians next to me at the moment and actually they are both staring at me with their pretty brown eyes hoping I will get off the dang computer and play with them!

No. My Dalmatian had one brown eye and one blue eye. The parents were both brown eyed.
My friend had two Dals and the male had one green one blue, female had two brown.
I guess genes are to blame.
Msnite: I didn't know brown and blue was a sign of deafness? My Dal was perfect with one brown one blue. Could hear fine.

No not all of them do. Every single dog can have a different eye color. Ive never ever seen a specific breed with the same eye color. One dog might have brown eyes and the other dog might have a brown eye also. Now you might see more than one dalmatian with one blue and one brown eye. It is possible. Now i think you get the point.bbye

I have a Dalmatian with two blue eyes and we got her because the breeder was going to put her down for her eye colour - otherwise she was a perfect show dog, although she is deaf in one ear. One blue eye seems to be acceptable, but two blue eyes is apparently not.

No; most have two eyes of the same color. Heterochromia is autosomal recessive.
