It depends what you're looking for! I would choose from a bird, dog, or cat. They're really different though, so it really depends on what you like. I've had a cockatiel before and they're really sweet and cute. If you want a more independent animal get a cat, more companion - get a dog.

If you want a low maintence pet - I would recommend a cat. And, I would recommend getting 2, from the same litter if possible. They can entertain each other, and provide hours of entertainment. They require very little training - and use a properly maintained litter box.
If you have the time to devote to caring for a pet, go for a dog. The require much more time and effort - potty training, walking, obedience training - and they can't be left alone for more than about 8 hours even if they are crate trained.
Regardless of which you choose - consider chosing a shelter or rescue animal - and get them spayer or neutered as soon as it's safe.
Personally, I'm a cat person - and could, if I had the space, time and money, become a crazy old cat lady!

Pets need more than room. Do you have the time to interact/care for a pet? Of course, some pets need more attention than others - I had mice who only required maybe 20 minutes a day and a cage clean weekly. A dog is going to require walks, a cat litter box changes. Parrots require lots of attention.
Do you have the money for the pet? The fee to buy/adopt one is just the beginning. Cages/pens/food/toys all add up.
You have a vet nearby that can see your animal? Most vets are cat/dog vets, please don't get a parrot or, say, a rat without a vet that is familiar with them. Do you have the money for a regular check-up AND for emergencies?
Some animals like budgies or rodents may seem cheap at first, but can require expensive vet care on a regular basis. A neuter for a cat costs <$50, one of my rat cost $175.

I like parakeets, rabbits, rats or mice, dogs, cats, lizards, and fish pretty much everything Since you have a lot of space i would get a rabbit. When you let them out to play then cover up any wires though because it may chew through it. And if you let it outside in a fenced in area be sure to supervise it, or a hawk may get it. if you dont want a rabbit snakes are cool unless they are mean snakes then they arent. It really is just what you are looking for. If you want something you can cuddle up with rabbits maybe or cats if you want something you could play with for hours on end a dog. But it really depends on the animals personality. The way i do it is when i get a parakeet i put my hand in the cage and see if any hop on. If none do then i go somewhere else. if i dont find any i go back to a place and see which one is lively so i know it is healthy. I also had a bearded dragon for a while but it died (R.I.P. Lizzie) He got impacted from a food we bought. most of the time they get impacted as juveniles, here are some ways they do. Using sand in the terrarium. Feeding it real dry food of some sort. And something big getting caught in him. Here are ways you can fix it at home. Feed it gatorade from a sirenge. massage him. and make sure he poops. or she. They are real loveable though if you want one but they dont require a lot of space, unless you let him out to run around.

Anyway i hope i helped.

It all depends on what kind of pet you are looking for. Are you a dog or cat person? With a big house, either would work good. Cats are easier to take care of (if you don't mind litterboxes) and are more indepedent, where dogs (depending on the breed) can be more hyper, need more attention and time spent at home with them. It just depends on what you are looking for in a pet! Fish are always the simplest way too, and rats make for good pets if looking for something smaller.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you want a more independant animal that doesn't need a lot of attention or training, then a cat would be good. If you have the time to dedicate to giving love and training and working with it to house train and want a great, fun, loving companion...a dog. If you want something even mroe low maintenance than a cat, fish. I have all of thee above and of all, my dog is best friend! I love them all but dogs are more into cuddling and being with you than cats are in general.

It depends on what you like. Do you like dogs? Or cats you need to think responisbly about this before making your decision. Dogs can not be left home for more than 7 hours. They have to be walked everyday. Cats are easier you can leave for a longer amount of time and do not have to walk them in the rain or snow. Hope this helps.

Don't get a dog.. since your place is so big it will be kind hard to spot/smell the dog's pee spots or poops. I would say, set up a big space for a terrarium and buy an iguana (just 1).. they make really nice pets.

If you live in a 'huge' house then get a dog. You'll need some protection for all that.

it depends on what animal you like I suggest a dog if you like small dogs I think it would be good to get a pug may Shitzu or a Bichon. if you like big dogs than a Golden Retriever or a keeshond. if you don't like dogs than maybe a cat or if you don't have time than maybe a fish.
