Bunny, kit, kitten. An adult used to be called a cony or coney(as in Coney Island) and the young was called a rabbit. Coney is now obsolete and rabbit applies to both adults and young. Kit is used for the young of several species of fur-bearing mammals.

A baby rabbit is a kitten, a kit, or a bunny. Take your pick

Those saying kit or kitten are correct as far as I know. Indeed it does not make much sense, after all a young fox is a kit as well.
Cute little bunny does for me.
I have a mate who would call it, "much like chicken."
Yuck, to me bunnies are pets, not things to be eaten.

Kitten. Bunny is just a cute way of saying rabbit, most commonly used by kids who haven't quite mastered talking yet, or people who prefer saying bunny to saying rabbbit.
