Due to health reason of my own and now moving I sadly have to rehome my beautifull Golden Lab who is microshipped and fully vaccinated and wormed.Had basic training.
He has a great temperment and a few chewing habbits but other wise he is just a loveable fella.
Likes to play fetch and I have advertise and the cost to do that just blew me away, so I cant afford that anymore and to surrender him to the pound will just cost as much so how can I find a good home for my pooch when advertising kills the budget big time, when i got moving cost to worry about.
Also the notice boards in my area keeps loosing notices so I am for ever putting up notices about him.
I have tried the local vets in my area and still not one responce and its been a month.
With a month to go before i move to my new home that sadly dont allow large dogs.
Please can any one help with ideas on how to rehome a pooch in such a short time.

Try finding a Lab Rescue in your area. Most rescues will take the dog without a fee. Rescues will not put down an animal. They also make sure the dog will find a great family to go home with.

I just adopted my yellow lab from the local lab rescue. And when I went to meet Molly she had better conditions than the dogs and pups at the humane society. Check out the site below or search for a lab rescue in your area using Google or Yahoo search. The second link (after scrolling down to "surrendering a labrador retriever") gives an email address to help find a reputable Lab Rescue in your area.

You don`t say whether ur selling or giving away ur dog. Just keep this in mind, never put an ad in the papers listing "free to good home" this only attracts the most unscrupulous people on earth, the ones that gather up strays and free dogs and sell them to research labs for cruel, painful experiments. So put a reasonable price on ur dog, if ur selling. Otherwise, as a last resort u may have to take him to a no-kill shelter. Someone will adopt him with his great qualities. God bless both u and ur dog. Good luck.

You can ask the humane society for help, and if you're really in a bind they will take it in. I'm positive your dog will find a home really quickly when he's there. Everybody loves labs.
Also - advertise on craigslist.com and in your local paper. Advertising in both places should not cost the earth.
Another way to advertise is by hanging flyers in our neighborhood (including local stores, coffee shops and vet offices).

You should know that craigslist is not a viable option because they don't allow animal listings - they'll just delete your ad. You might check some of your local churches, many of them have a classified listing for the community and the ads are usually free.

Most of these sites will let you post adds for free. I don't believe it costs anything to surrender them to a pound!! I am almost positive and they will find him a great home but none the less try these sites!
