We are moving in a week. I have been moving stuff out of the back room where the litter box is, only to discover that there is one area that is VERY stained, that I was unaware of. What can be done about cat pee stains on a hardwood floor? We'd like to have a chance of getting PART of the security deposit back....

I've read some things about the job and it says you have to have a license to be able to euthanize and give medications and shots to animals...how do you get those licenses to be able to apply for the job?

My cat (a year old Siamese named Pyewacket.) Loves Twinkies!

I don't actually give them to him because I know they are probably bad for him? But when the kids eat them, he will practically attack them to get the cream and if he is lucky enough to knock a bit out of their hands, he grabs it, runs off and greedily eats it as if it were a dead bird! He doesn't do this with anything else...

Anyone else have a cat that likes weird things?

I have a 4 1/2 month old female Husky. When we got her, we were completely prepared to take on this breed that has such a reputation for being a complete handful. We were starting to think we had an exception to the breed, she is very sweet and cuddly, she is full of energy but not surprisingly so, and most importantly, she is obedient! Then I read a posting by a LokiWolf, who said it wasn’t until they are about 6 months of age that they begin to exhibit the full spectrum typical husky behaviors. If any other Husky owner has experienced this, which, I’m sure they have, how drastic is the behavior change? Am I just dreaming that we may have the best behaved Husky that ever lived?? :)

I have 12 indoor cats and the best litters are really expensive. I understand that there are home litter manufacturers that do more than shred paper, but I can't find a source. HELP !!!

We just got a cat for my Grandmother and we need a name for it. He is black with white on all 4 paws and white on his nose. He is definitly part ragamuffin. We got him at the SPCA. Yesterday my grandfather was running on the treadmill and the cat was jogging beside him, so the cat likes to jog/run. My grandmother wants to name him "Spats" which are white things you put over your shoes, but I think that name is weird. What is your suggestion for a name?

WE HAVE THOUGHT OF SOCKS, BUTTONS, MITTENS, MOZART, LANCE, ZEKE, CHARLIE, ZACK, WHISKA, MAX, BOOTS, AND GARFIELD. BUT MY GRANDMOTEHR DOESN'T LIKE ANY OF THEM

Most of the itme, I consider myself pretty much an expert on cats, but I'm having a problem with my new kitten that I don't know what to do about.

She meows PROFUSELY when I'm trying to sleep, usually starting around 4:00AM. She doesn't have a loud meow, so it's not like the meowing itself is that bad, but she just does it so persistently that it drives me crazy.

Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow....NONSTOP for an hour plus. Letting ehr out of the room doesn't stop her, whether I leave the door open or shut. Feeding her doens't stop her. Petting her doens't stop her. Yelling doens't stop her. Ignoring her doesn't stop her.

The only thing that stops her is me getting up - and staying up - and I just can't do that every day at 4AM!

How can I get her to stop meowing?
