The correct spelling is intussusception. Telescoping of the bowel into itself. In puppies often caused by worms or diarrhoea as both of these can cause hyper activity of the bowel muscle. In older dogs can be caused by tumours or bowel muscle disease. Usually requires emergancy surgery and very very painful.
