I know it is probably down to her age, but for the past two months she has become quite incontinent!! It has got to the stage where she can't be left on her own because of wanting to go into the garden all the time. It is worse at night and I have even got to the point of sleeping downstairs just to let her out! Apart from this, for her age, she is in good health but I am at my wits end! Has anyone got any sensible suggestions?

my horse was bit by a dog wen he was a baby, since he has hated dogs (wich is understandable), he chases them and tries to stomp them, or waits till they are close and them kicks them, any dog, anywere, its not so much a problem when he is in the pasture, but it becomes bad when im riding him in the neighborhood, i can control him, but it becomes a hassle to always have to fight it (there are alot of dogs, and the only way to get to the trails is to pass them). i have tried to let him see that not all dogs are bad by trying to let him get to know our old shepperd, i held him while he sniffed her for awyle but then he bit her...she ran and he took off after her, we have tried it a couple of times, but it never worked out.

Do you just leave them in the yard with extra food and water or kennel them?

So, we've been feeding three kittens that live in our yard for about a week or two now. We set out plastic bowls with warm milk and friskies and they come and eat, being cautious of us. Now, we have other cats in our neighborhood, including a few that are feral, like the kittens. There is a grey adult female that we thought was the kitten's mother who also comes and eats sometimes, but just this morning when the grey cat was eating, one of the kittens tried to eat from the bowl and she swatted him good in the head and he ran off. Since we saw this, we yelled out the door at her to get her to leave so the kittens could get a chance to eat (the adult had already eaten most of what was in the bowl). Now, we've thought to catch the kittens and domesticate them because they're still little, but we're not sure if it's a good idea. My two questions are 1. What should we do about the adult cat right now to make sure the kittens are fed and 2. Should we catch the kittens and domesticate them?

I've had a fear of dogs for a long time. I don't think it's something I can get over. I just want to know how to deal with people, who don't understand my fear of dogs. My MIL has 6 dogs in total, and I honestly don't want to go there at Christmas time because of the dogs. She doesn't want to put them outside while I'm there, and that's fine by me, but if she doesn't want to do that, then I don't think I can go there. Also, what am I going to do when my daughter gets older so she isn't afraid of dogs like I am? What about when I bring her to a Birthday Party or to her friends, and I can't get out of the car because theres a dog? This has affected my life in many ways. Thanks for any advice.

i need some more info....

i know im going to get alot of **** for this one but it has to be done, im yet im worried. I have a 6 month old neutered male (he was netured at 1 month before i even got him) and we had trained him to use his scratching posts and he was doing really well for the first few months, now its like we never trained him. We just had to replace our boxspring because he tore through the lining and into the wood, it finally broke! I want to get him declawed. We are renting so if he starts at the carpets or walls we'll be paying double what is would usually cost to have things fixed. I want to hear from people who have had there cats declawed. Like whats the down time, about how much did you pay, did they seem "mad", anything helpful you could tell me

im not all for declawing either...but im not giving him up either!
i clip his nails twice a week, but it still does major damage, and like i said he uses his posts most of the ti

This morning, we had a small reptile which was
found in a shipment from Bayport, Texas. My boss thinks its a gecko. His is very slender, fairly light green and about 7 inches long, including tail.

It would probably be inhumane to release him here in Niagara Falls, NY so I would like to keep him here at work, and plan on going out at lunch and getting an aquarium or something.

Does anyone (maybe someone from that area of Texas) know what this is? I am unsure of a) if in fact, he's a gecko and b) what to feed him & how to care for him.

Thank you

My poor cat is suffering terribly for hairballs! I live in South Africa and it is going into summer so he is loosing loads of hair. I have even started feeding him special food from the vet to reduce the hairballs but he still brings them up at least once a day! Any suggestions please?

I feed my terrier dry food and before each meal he tentatively chooses a piece of food and carries it off to a private corner to eat. Then he will return to the bowl and eat from it until he's done. What is he doing?

We went to the local animal shelter yesterday and found two cats to adopt. One is between 1 and 3 years old and the other is between 6 and 12 months. The older one was abandoned by her owners while the younger one was a stray. We want to adopt both, but we're concerned about them getting along. How should we introduce the two? Should we sequester them in different parts of the house initially and gradually introduce them?

A while ago a bought a tortoise for my children, their little faces would light up as a placed him on his back, we would sit for hours watching him dance and wriggle, sometimes he would actually spin if we put him on the kitchen floor, now sadly he refuses, ive tried everything but he just wont move a muscle, self self self thats all he thinks about, he wont even eat the lettuce i spent 54p on last week. Any suggestions?

I just stupidly left my bowl of custard and my cats alone together in the same room and well, you can guess what happened. They seem fine, but I'm still a bit paranoid, is custard at all harmful to cats?
