For your cats sake I would get her caught up on all of her shots. That way if she ever does sneak out she will be all good!

Definitely NOT today. Spaying is abdominal surgery and though she will do fine and recover in 24 hours or so giving a rabies shot is just something else her system will have to handle. I believe that is the "roughest" of all the shots and cat can react to it longer than any other kind.
Whether you give one or not is your decision. I think at least one in her lifetime should be given -- they do not really know how long they are good for. Of course you are dealing with laws here and there are no "rabies police" to check on you.
Many holistic veterinarians are pushing for a study as to just how long the rabies is good for and it hasn't been done yet. The vets think that annually is too often and not necessary.

States and cities have laws requiring shots. The vets around here won't spay or neuter without giving a rabies shot.
Kitty will probably be sicker from the shot than from being spayed.
My cats always have stiff hips after their rabies shots and want to lay around sleeping for a couple of days.

I don't know how it is with regards to the vet requiring it for the surgery, but my 2 indoor cats don't get a rabies shot (in MI). They reacted poorly the first time they got it (were getting sick and very lethargic), so the vet said since they are completely indoors it was not necessary.

My cat became in basic terms spayed and it value £sixty 5. The PDSA will in basic terms do it for unfastened in case you're in receipt of particular reward, rather Housing and Council tax. of path you recognize you would be able to desire to attend till this cat has feeding her kits?

if you have children in the home...yes you should have already started the immunizations with your pet. If your going to be responsible for a pet while having kids, its your duty to keep them both safe no matter what! good luck
