Is there something I can put on my mice's wheel at the points where the two pieces touch to make it stop squeeking? I know mice are nocturnal, which is why they like to keep me up at night. But the wheel's gotten to the point where my boyfriend is [ ] close to taking it out at night. Someone suggested vegi-oil?

I have a kitten who is 8 weeks old. When I walk she bites and claws at my ankles. She also attacks my hands and arms. I know she is only playing but I don't want her to think it is ok to do this and when she is older to continue biting and clawing me. Any suggestions?

I have a two year old cat that REFUSES to pee in the litter box. She poops in it, but pees outside of it. What is going on, and why? How can I fix it? She DOESN'T have an infection.

I have a very active border collie who LOVES to chew (last night she loved a nerf football to pieces). She doesn't seem to be interested in chewing on anything she's not supposed to but I'd like to keep providing her with things she can safely gnaw on. The little Purina rawhide bones last about 2 minutes. Anyone have any suggestions?

My two Jack Russells start howling the moment they hear my footsteps coming up the path. (It's so deafening, it actually sounds more like 16 dogs). When I come in they continue for about 5 minutes. I have tried ignoring them when they do it, but they just keep going. I've also tried giving them affection, but they yip and yap through it all. For a while I tried picking one of them up, and it worked for about two weeks, but now they continue howling even in my arms. We walk them twice a day and exercise them by playing soccer with them for about 20 minutes every day. They are 12 and 9 years old. I know they are just happy to see me, but it's embarrasing (I'm sure everyone in a one-block radius knows when I have gotten home from work). Anybody have any ideas?

I adopted a 1 year old dog from the ASPCA last week. She seems like a smart enough dog, but she is ALWAYS looking for food when she has the chance. I've been crate training her to get her housebroken, and she behaves in the crate (so I can at least be thankful for that), but when I let her out in the house or take her on a walk, she's always looking for food instead of going to the bathroom.

Should I be feeding her more (I add a tiny bit to what the bag says / feed her twice a day)? She focuses on the sound of plastic bags (she associates them with food) and always wants to climb up on my kitchen counters. It's tough to get her to even respond to me when food enters the equation.

I'm going a bit nutty trying to deal with her. She seems like a sweet dog underneath all of her behavioral issues (she also is a bit mouthy and chews on me). I wish she could focus on something other than food. I guess it might be just a matter of time until she settles down and realizes I won't starve her.

I know the baby turtle should be kept from trying to hibernate, but I'm just very concerned. Thanks in advance for your reply.

This was the largest dog I have ever seen. He stood about 3 feet tall maybe more. He had long, shaggy, sandy-colored hair (almost dreadlocked). He had a stocky body and face, not skiny like a greyhound. He could have been a type of mastiff but what type? I I have searched for pictures and have not found any. If you know of good dog websites with a comprehensive list of pics, that would be very helpful.

I've been reading up alot on puppies and dogs since we are getting a new puppy. But I am confused on this. I am going to be feeding our puppy science diet her whole life and that is what the breeder is currently feeding her. I have read that puppies can get some of their vitamins from vegetables and that peanut butter once in a while is ok. Also that they need protein but not too much. Will she get what she needs from Science Diet or should I sometimes be giving her cooked vegetables or peanut butter. May sound like a stupid question which could be why sometimes too much information is not good. (I've read so so many different books and web articles I am getting confused)
I know some people feed their dogs table scraps but that is not something I choose to do with ours. I just want to make sure she is getting all that she needs.

Please help and serious answers only please. THANK YOU!!

Is it actually illegal to eat, for example cats and dogs in the UK, or is it just a bit anti social? Just trying to think of a good use for them.

I've tried several methods of stopping this. The vet recommended tapping him on the muzzle and saying loud and in a deep voice No, but that doesn't stop him! He runs around the house in circles, and 'spazs' out!! He barks at me at pulls and nips on my arms, never hurting me but it's a behavior I want to stop since we have children in the house. He's an Austalian Shepherd, 3 yrs. old, and neutered. Most the time he's very calm and is well trained otherwise! We rescued him from a horrible shelter, and we take plenty of walks, he's got lots of toys and things to chew on, gets lots of attention. I've also tried ignoring him. Any ideas on what I can do to stop this or why he does it? Thanks!!

I LOVE them, i think they are wonderful pets. I will someday own one, when i get a house, and move out of this appartment. I have honestly Never met a pit bull who didn't like people. The only thing is that i've seen a lot of them don't like other dogs. But most of the ones i have met are well socialized and love Everyone and Everything. But my parents, and a few other people i know think that pit bulls are always terrible dogs, and never give them a chance. They believe that every pit bull will turn on its owners and attack them. I know this is not true. I was just wanted to hear your opinions.
