Yes. We have. She's definitely a girl. And not a hint of white on her.
She's gorge. And v. unusual apparently. Pity she's been neutered.

Yep, have part ownership of a beautiful little ginger queen called Jez (short for Jezebell).
She's rather a grand old lady now as she's at least 14 ... we know that she is slightly older than that. She & her kittens had been abandoned on some waste ground. We rescued her & her kittens went off to other new homes.
Jez has such a deep rusty voice, she's very small & extremely sweet.

It's unusual, but not impossible for a female to be ginger. Males only need to have the ginger gene on one chromosome to become ginger, and females have to have it on two, so ginger males outnumber females 3 to 1.

Funny you should ask this question!
I adopted a ginger cat from the SPCA. Brought him home, named him Mojo, took him back to get his stitches removed from the "neutering" and found out he is a she!
That is what the vet said, you hardly ever see a ginger cat that is not a boy. They just assumed she was a he.
Maybe I should name her Butch. lol

My Vet has a ginger female, quite unusual he says, She was found abandoned and hand reared. He is not having her spayed as they want to mate her with a Ginger Tom to see what the results are.

Majority of ginger cats happen to be male although it is possible for them to be female. Tortiseshell cats on the other hand are always female - must have something to do with genetics.

Me too. I think I've found one, though. At least, it is an all ginger kitten and it appeared with a shaved patch on its side one day, as if it had been spayed. I think that has to count as a female!

I think that it is genetically impossible for a ginger cat to be a queen, same as a tortoishell is always a queen and pure white cats are deaf 99% of the time. A quirk of the feline genetic line....
