I have 12 indoor cats and the best litters are really expensive. I understand that there are home litter manufacturers that do more than shred paper, but I can't find a source. HELP !!!

the least expensive item to buy in quantity is the speedy dry bag at your hardware store. they use it in garages to absorb oil spills etc. My vet said is is better because it doesn't have all the added chemicals of store products. i would add some baking soda to it to help absorb any odor. i would also have several litter boxes avbl. with so many inside cats and clean them daily.

I use World's Best Cat Litter which is the most expensive you can buy. I was told that you can get the same stuff at a feed store - it is just a form of corn. You can get a 50 lb bag for a very reasonable price. I could not handle a bag of that size and you should look into that if you can do it yourself or have someone to help you.

Maybe sand from the beach will do.
