I have a 2 year old male cat that is fixed. I also have a 1 year old female cat also fixed and ever since I have gotten my male he just has been peeing all over the house. it is not just in certian spots. Recently it has been on the kitchen floor, on my leather jacket and in the middle of the living room floor!
And it is NOT all the time, it is maybe once or twice a week.
Yes, there is a litter box in the house and it is one of the self cleaning ones. (Litter Maid). And that is cleaned a t least every week.
I also have a male roommate living with me, but I dont know if that would make a difference with him thinking that there is another male in his house?
I got both of my cats from shelters.
Could it him spraying, beacuse I have heard of male cats spraying when though he is fixed.
Please Help!

She looks kinda like a bobcat/tiger,, he face has symetrical black lines and is a soft orange-tan color... the rest of her is brown, orange, and black stripes... white paws and white patch on her front... her ears are a light brown with Black tips.. she is very fiesty and playful... she likes to play covert kitty and pounce on random things... paper her shadow, invisable bugs, feet.... she likes to sleep in an old play pen, and when she wakes up she climbs out the side... And she thinks the apartment is her personal race track...

I had 3 cats, but 2 ran off about 2 weeks ago and no one's called us about their flyers (meaning no one's seen them), and they left their 1 1/2 year old son. I've paid extra attention to him and made sure he doesn't feel bad, but the problem there in lies: He's not MY cat, he's my dad's. He's gotten to where he sleeps next to me, he wants me to feed him, me to play with him, and NOT my dad. I don't really want him to be my cat, as I intend to adopt from the shelter when we have the money. What can I do to seem like less of an owner to him?

My roommate and I just got two kittens a boy and a girl. A week ago. They are 9 wks old. The boy is really playful. He'll let us hold him a little although he does try to run at first. The girl is really frightened. She doesnt really like us to get her, but once we do she'll let us pet her for a little while. And once we put them down they run away. We're really gentle and speak softly to them. They both run when we come around them. Is there any way to get them to stop being so frightened of us? Any good ideas?

My cat is acting very odd even for him, he's old maybe 11-12 years old. But anyway about a week ago he began acting strange, he would run to a specific spot and spend almost the entire day there picking his fur out of himself. First it was on top of the washer and dryer then the top of the couch then cram himself in between a space in my sister's closet. He would run to them like he was gunna get caught like it was wrong for him to go those spots but it wasn't wrong. And he has never gone to these spots before, ever. Before he started doing this he would spend most of his day outside lounging on the deck and when he was inside he would walk around the house and sleep on someone's bed or in the rocking chair in the living room like a normal lazy cat. No one in my family has no idea what's going on and were waiting to see if his behavoir will calm down before we call the vet. Any idea's what colud be going on with him?

Do you and your partner have the same liking of the same pet?
Or did you have to vote, what pet to have?

Myself, my husband, my son, and my daughter all have cats and kittens.
We have 2 cats, "Whoopi" who is a female, black and white, age 16 years, she has breast cancer.
"Tiger" who is a male, grey and white tabby, age 13 years.
Then the 4 kittens, "Summer" and "Autumn" who are both sisters, both girls, "Summer" is grey, ginger tabby very rare, and "Autumn" is tortoise shell, ginger, dark and light grey and they are 15 weeks and 1 day old. I felt sorry for them as they were living in very poor condtions.
"Lucy Lu" who is a girl, black and white, age 15 weeks and 3 days old.
Then their is poor little "Gismo" who is a boy, grey and lots of white tabby, age 12 weeks and 4 days old. I also rescued him from his owner. He has a usler on his eye at this moment! he might even lose his eye as of yet, we are in close contact with the vet at this moment. There are some cruel people about.

Eventually, my husband & I will be moving to Arizona from Florida and will be driving. I have 3 dachshunds & 2 cats. I am not worried on containment of the pets but am more concerned with the stress on my cats, the dogs will be fine. I will need something to calm the cats for at least 2 or 3 days, however long it will take us to get there. My question is, has anyone traveled a significant distance with cats and what do you recommend that would make it less stressful for them? I would think the vet would give me some type of tranquilizer but I don't know if they will give me enough so that I can give them more while traveling if needed. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

We had 2 before named Leo and Mikey. Unfortunately we had to set them free when we moved; turtles weren't allowed. Now we can and we have our new babies Donny and Raph.
What would you name your pet turtles?

I have a kitten who is about 5-6 months old, and I have been feeding her Meow Mix Lil' Nibbles for kittens under a year. Well, our bathroom recently flooded and her food was in the storage closet where it got ruined. I walked to CVS and all they had was the normal meow mix; now I have noticed that she had vomitted once about 2-3 days ago and one time this morning, but it was quite a lot of vomit. Is this being caused by the mere food change or is she just not able to stomach the adult cat food yet? Thanks for any answers.

Feeder crickets cost so much at the pet store. I have a baby duck who loves grasshoppers but it is a pain to be running all around our property with a butterfly net 3 times a day to catch grasshoppers. I looked and looked on the internet but could not find if there is such a thing as a grasshopper trap. ??????? Any suggestions on how to build one if there is such a thing?

I have very very hard tap water. I've tested it with a tester strip for fish tanks. I've read that sometimes tap water can be too hard to adjust for fish. My question is, how balanced is bottled water (the kind you buy at the store)? I'm not talking distilled, I've heard it has NO nutrients for fish. Is adjustment needed to it to suit a betta fish or is betta water conditioner enough? Thanks!
