ok don't panic, I've been there with my cats and i know it's scary when you can see them not getting on but there is still time. Apparently it can take up to 4 months for them to settle in and accept the "invasion".
This article is pretty good:

and this:

And this book is good too:
Twisted Whiskers: Solving Your Cat's Behavior Problems (Paperback) by Pam Johnson-Bennett
Good Luck and I'm sure there will be love and harmony very soon! :)

You haven't tried everything until you have tried some spirit essences. You can go to: www.spiritessence.com and order a $17 bottle of "New Beginings". It is shipped to you with no charges for shipping, handling, or tax. You just shake the bottle well and apply three to four drops to the older cats' fur between their ears. You treat frequently until you see changes in behavior. They are not drugs and cannot harm your cats. Dr. Hovfe is, of course, a veterinarian and works with Jackson Galaxy, a cat behaviorist.
It will definitely change the dynamics for the cats and kitten in a postive way. It might take a week for the bottle to arrive and things will probably be better by then and still I would use the essence so that the cats can have a happier less stressful adjustment to the kitten long-term.

it does take time. Try and brush the older cats and then brush the kittens with the same brush-do this many times swapping the order of brushing and let them all have a good sniff. Alos pet one cat then another and keep going. Another thing which may help is give the kittens small boxes to hide in that the adults won't fit then put areas of catnip round the rooms and hopefully they will be too stoned to fight!!!

It will just take a while for them to all get used to one another. Don't try to force them together, but let them discover each other in their own time frame. They will work out their territories and will learn each other before long, just have patience and keep an eye on the kitten until he/she is old enough to be OK on her own with the adults. Maybe supervise them together thru-out the day, and separate them at nite, until you see they are getting along. Keep your patience and enjoy watching them and learning more about them. There is a site called Cat Fancy that will help, and other great cat sites to ck out. Ask your vet about some, or any problems that come up for your cat family.

My adult cat never accepted my kitten either, and it has been 6 months.
I guess they deal with each other because they have plenty of hideout places. I have started putting the food in the same bowl, and they have been forced to wait until the other one is done eating, being close by each other for some time.
My hope is that by the time both are old farts, they'll tolerate each other better.

2 weeks sometimes just isn't enough time to readjust. 2 weeks is the average period, but not a hard fast rule. The cats need to adjust to the new member of the family and work out their hierarchy. Unless the 2 older cat are causing the kitten great physical harm, relax and let them work it out. Sometimes human interference can hurt the adjustment.

try not to worry leave them to sort it out unless kitten is being badly beaten. give all the cats plenty of places to hide and a safe place for baby to retire to. you could also try giving them an extra special treat when they are together not to close or they will start another barny. i just got another kitten yesterday and trying to introduce the little mite to 4 cats and 4 dogs is quite a task. so far so good but it does take time. my kitten is currently asleep in a basket on my cat scratch post safely out of the way. make sure that you fuss your current cats and dont tell them off to much for having a hissy fit its their way of sorting things out just be patient. good luck

you should have kept the kitten shut in a separate room for a couple of weeks without contact with the other cats, they would have sensed (smelt) each other through the door and got used to their new companions over this period. Therefore less friction when they met.

Maybe the kitten has bad breath ;)
Give it time, maybe they will get to know each other better.
Adult cats and dogs will sometimes reject a kitten (even their own) that they haven't kept in close proximity with from birth.
