It really depends on how long you expect her to hold it. At 6 weeks of age, she should only be required to hold it for 1-2 hours at the most. If you are able to move the scale of time as she gets older and you set her up for success everytime, she can be 'housebroken' already. If you didnt set her up correctly, it doesnt mean she isnt housebroken, it just means that you expected too much from her. If you gave me a gallon of water to drink, and I didnt have a toilet available, I'm going to soil somewhere I shouldnt. Doesnt mean I didnt know better, it just means I didnt have the right circumstances.
The scale is 2months: 1-2 hours 3months:2-3 hours 4 months:3-4 hours ect ect ect

They say a puppy is never too young to start housetraining them. I started with my puppy Molly when I first got her...when she was 8 weeks old. She took a long time to learn, though. She still occasionally has "accidents," and she'll be 2 in December. Mostly, though, she goes on her potty pads when I'm not home, then I walk her whenever she asks to go out when I am home.
Just hang in there. It feels like it takes forever, and I always feel mean when I have to punish Molly for accidents, but it happens. Be sure and PRAISE a lot when they do it right =)

It depends on the dog themselves. Some dogs train early in age and other a little later. It also depends on how much time you are willing to spend each day in training. 6 weeks is still young to be trained but you could go ahead and start so that she will get used to going outside to use the bathroom. Take her out ever so often and let her do her business and then she will eventually get used to going outside. You may also could use those puppy training pee pads. My aunt said they trained her puppy, I have never used them though.

The fact of the matter is that most people 'fight' with their dog to housebreak it. It's a mistake. Dogs are born with a very strong, instinctive aversion to fouling their own nest. As soon as they're weaned, they can start being trained.
Keep an eye on them during the day and if you see them starting, grab them and put them outside. After they're done, tell them what a good dog they are. If they manage to sneak one past you, rub their nose in it, scold them, and put them outside. At night, they should have their own 'bed' in a box that they can't get out of (just make sure they have plenty of air ☺) In the morning, first thing, take them outside and wait for them to do their thing and then tell them what a good dog they are.
If you're fairly religious about this, it'll take maybe 8 to 10 weeks to get them trained.

My female Pit was house trained in 3 days.I'm not sure how old she was(She found us). It was labor day weekend 3 years ago when she came home with us. We kept a close eye on her and when she peed or we could tell she was going to we whisked her outside to finish or to go. After 3 days of that we have never had to tell her again. I would guess she was 10-12 weeks old.

Start trying to train immediately, but the full process can take up to two years with some breeds and learning abilities. Just be patient..my bulldog took all of 4 months, maybe five, but my parents dachsund took just shy of two years...hang in there...

Only a veternarian (spelling?) can truly answer this one, but again from experience - I'd go with no sooner than a year and sometimes if stubborness kicks in - we're talkin' TWO years!!! LONG TIME, let me tell ya!! Hopefully your dog catches on fast!
