I am thinking about bathing my pet rabbit because it recently got a little dirty when it stepped into a bowl of blueberry jam.

At what temperature should I bathe the rabbit? I have read that the body temperature of a rabbit is higher than that of a human's. I guess that means that I should crank the heat higher when I give it a bath, right?

Also, should I give it a shower rather than a bathe? I am thinking about choosing one of these two options:
1. Fill a bathtub to about 5~6 cm height with hot water. Place rabbit into bath and scrub its fur with some shampoo.
2. Place rabbit into dry bathtub, and turn on shower.
Which is better?

Last night my dog started acting wierd, he is usually very hyper and he was moving slow and just laying around. Then he started to vomit (I know this is gross) but his vomit had a very strong metallic odor to it. He did not eat anything. I have never had to deal with this before and am very scared. Because it is sunday the vet here is closed. Is there anything I can do for him at home. He is only 6 months old.

I am allowed a kitten/cat for christmas, but i have a hamster in a bar cage. Will the kitten/cat try to attack or eat my hamster? If it will, can anyone give me some tips on how to prevent this from happening?

My family is stationed in Vilseck Germany, we want to adopt a dog but don't know where to look. Are there any big international classified sites that would have pets listed? Even a site that lists animals in shelters in Europe. I've seen things like this for the states, but I'm having a hard time finding anything around this area. The language barrier makes it difficult.

I just got a betta fish. The air filter leaves bubbles. i thought air filters were supposed to be smoother? im worried that my betta wont be able to get any air from the top cause its covered in bubbles!!! i think its too soon for it to be a bubble nest.

My dog leisurely laid next to the nest for a couple of days - we put a cage top over the nest for safekeeping during the day. One day, after all neighbors were gone for four hours, we came home to an empty nest - no sign of anything. The cage top was moved - we saw a small area where an animal tried to dig it up. Some say it could have Mama, after seeing too many predators and danger around. What are the chances it wasn't another animal?

He eats any poo he finds, if I don't stop him in time but he prefers his own. We don't like this habit and would like to curb it. Also he likes day old, not fresh. Any comments on how to break this , he is 95 pounds about seven years old in people years, and otherwise a loving, friendly and wonderful friend.

I checked the litter box but don't see that anything has come out, oh and by the way how do they get worms, I take really good care of my cats...is it something I fed them? Are there different kinds of worms that animals get...these are white ones...I don't want anything to happen to my cats, I will take them to the vet on monday but I'm wondering what this is, I've never seen worms in an animal before.

Since buying a female pet rabbit, I have begun to feel like a God. I mean, before the rabbit I, in fact, am its Master. It may come out of its cage only if I explicitly allow it. It eats what I give it, when I give it. It drink what I give it, when I give it. If I want it to go outside, I can force it to do so.

So I'm wondering if naturally rabbit owners start going on power trips. Like basically they start feeling like they are true Gods who have vast powers over the rabbit.

What do you think?

My Golden and I live in Thailand. She has been to the vet, had lung xrays, ekg, blood tests. All is normal except she hypothyroid which we are treating with thyrotabs (soloxine generic). It is hot here of course but she does this even when she is in the air conditioning and it is cool. (I am under the blanket). She was born here. Anyone have this experience and found the answer?
