My horse was kicked and the other horse's shoe dug into his front leg just below the knee joint and had to go to the Royal Veterinary College last night because there was concern that he might need a operation under general anaesthetic ( to do with his carpal something). While we were there, I was told that he had a Grade II systolic heart murmur (he ultimately did not need the operation, thank god and is doing well so far).

Can anyone please explain exactly what a Grade II heart murmur is and what this means for my horse.

ok I would never want to buy a food 4 my cat that would harm him in any way or cause him pain and would be an extra vet visit. so what makes certain brands bad other than filler foods( which I guess jus don't have much nutriton, like stuffing) I have a 4 month male orange tabby( do they need extra wet food so they don't get a uninary tract infection?) what are the side affects from feeding my cat well known cat brands u find in the grocery store like Friskies, iams, purina? stuff like that. will those foods harm my kitty and how? what makes Fedile cat food so good( from what I've read on other questions on here they say that's a real good one) and where would I find the "good" cat food?

My dog has a boyfriend now and she is going to have babies 9 weeks from today making the babies be born november 20. The problem is that it might be too cold for the puppies to survive during the coldness.... is there a way to make them be warm and have successful reproduction?

I found myself an owner of a small kitten. I think he is about 3 months old.
It's always crying.
How often do you feed a small kitten?

So, don't judge me, cause I like snakes. My parents and I just found a pygmy rattlesnake in our yard, and the wildlife people wouldn't come down to get it. We killed it, because we have pets and kids that run around this neighborhood. I don't know if snakes are considered pests or protected by some kind of wildlife organization, so if someone could tell me if it's legal or not to kill a snake in FL, that'd be great.

She said it can cause crystals to orm in their kidneys. Someone else once told me though that adult cats can't have too much soft food because they won't drink enough water if they do. My male is currently eating dry Royal Canin Siamese formula, should I change his food or is the other person wrong? My cat is a neutered 3 1/2 year old male Siamese who weighs 25 lbs, but he is a big cat and it's not all fat on him. I love my cat and wants what is best for him.

I'm planning on getting maybe a 15 gallon or 20 gallon tank, and I just wanted to know which filter do you recommend. I was thinking of getting a - Penn Plax Cascade 80 Power Filter, Tetra Whisper Power Filter 20 or a Marineland Penguin 100B Power Filter. I like the idea of a filter looking sort of like a "waterfall". If I get one of these filters will I need a powerhead or an air pump?? What are those for anyways? And what kind of heater will I need for a freshwater setup?? I'm planning on getting 6 neon tetras, 2 dwarf gourami, 2 otocinlus affinis, and 3 Harlequin Rasbora (and if everything goes well for them I'll add 2-3 more rasboras). THANK YOU EVERYONE IN ADVANCE.

I think my dwarf hamster may have it, and I want her to feel better. PLEASE don't recommend me dri-tail. It doesn't kill the bacteria (FYI).

I ask a question earlier on how i can potty train my puppy in a month and one of the answers was to buy a spray to help it get potty trained. The person said that you spray it on the spot that you want it to go on and it will use the restroom there. But what is it called and where can i get it???

In Canada, I used to give them hairball medicine, but I haven't been able to find any in Mexico. Is there a "home" remedy. My cat has long hair and spends most of her waking life grooming herself. (see avatar)

So my dad wants to buy another dog after my current dog passes, but I was wondering what kind of dog would be better: a border collie or a german shepard? Now, we have only had shelties are entire life that were always loving and sweet. We would like to find another dog with the same temperment and that would be good with younger kids (age ranging from 5-13yrs old). Any dog can be sweet depending on how you train it, but I would like your opinion and why you would select this breed.
Side note: my mom's brother was attacked by a german shepard when he was younger and my b/f was chased down by one when he was walking to class one day, so they are totally against the german shepard, but I on the otherhand are trying to convince them why they would be a good pet. Even when I babysat two kids years ago, they had two german shepards and my mom was deathly afraid to be around them, they were the sweetest things EVER!
