We may have to move from a VERY warm area of the southeastern U.S. to the North Pole (Alaska). Maybe. I worry if this would work with our less-than-one-year-old Chihuahua pup. Will she adapt with a chunky sweater? Will we have to build her a dog run? Is it too late to teach her to use a litter box? She WILL stay with us - giving her up is not an option. I just wonder how we could best work with the temperature extremes...?? Ideas? Suggestions?

I've been told (here) that cats don't like their bowls cleaned with standard dish soap. Can anyone recommend any brands?

she is 8 .american eskimo. had 1 tooth pulled. It costed about $300 to get 1 tooth pulled. I cannot afford to keep getting her teeth pulled, can they do anything else less expensive? Her teeth have a hard yellow coating on them and gums are red. I have to get it taken care of asap. I am making a vet appointment. What are the options and general cost for treatment?

Now before anyone goes nuts we are taking them to the vet in the morning- but we got 2 puppies today and they have some fleas... it doesnt seem to be too bad... we bathed them twice... once with baby soap (which we saw online somewhere) and most of the soaps/cures etc are for 12 weeks and older... they are 7 weeks...so does anyone have suggestions ?

My cat has fleas so i bought this thing from a shelf at petsmart "purrscriptions flea medicine" where you put it on the spine of the cat and wait for it to "work it's magic", but i'm afraid to because what if he has some nasty allergic reaction to it or something? He is young and i dont think he's really allergic to anything yet like the shampoos i be using on him rarely.

Does anyone know of an informative site that lists "safe" human foods for pet birds. Things such as; apples, peaches, mint leaves, oranges etc..
I know apples are safe. I'm looking for new safe foods to introduce to them!

Proud owner of A Caique, Cockatiel, African Grey and Budgie!

Thanks!

He will get on the stick that i hold OK, but he hisses and goes to bit at my finger. He has his wings clipped and can sit ontop of the cage but he HATES my fingers. I can not pick him up either so when he is on the ground i have to offer him the stick to get on to which he does.

He is 11 years old and besides his back legs not working, everything else is fine. I dont mind taking care of him. He doesnt seem to be in any pain. I bought him one of those dog-wheelchairs but he cant use it. I have had him his whole life since I got him from the pound.

We have a 3 year old jack russel (female) who is house trained and has been for a long time now . . . lately she has peed in the house EVERY DAY!!! Sometimes she does it when we are sleeping, other times when we leave the house and dont put her in her crate. We've been having the neighbors puppy (male) and another dog (male) over lately . . . could she be marking her territory? or is she mad that other dogs are at her house? She plays with the two dogs, doesn't seem to dislike them at all. We've decided to put her in her crate at night so she doesn't pee.

WHY IS SHE DOING THIS!?!?!?
How can we stop it?
How should we punnish her to correct her?
