as in a lutino cockatoo or budgie...is it like "latino?"...or albino (american pronunciation with a long i)?

Since February, I have been feeding this female cat that lives near me. (I call her Little Girl or Mama Cat.) Well, she had babies, she's left because they're old enough and I don't want to see them grow up to a life of being a feral cat. I would love to take them myself, but I already have 7 cats and a dog.

What is the best way to capture them so that I can take them to SPCA? I don't know if they'll make it there, but they're certainly not going to be tamed where they are now.

Two of them come right up to me, although they won't let me touch them, other than lightly touching them on the ear while they're devouring the food I provided. The third, a girl I think, is still very shy, although certainly not about eating.

Any suggestions would be really great. I consider myself a strong animal lover and I do not want to leave these kittens to the elements.

So I decided to buy a boston terrier and heard it's good to buy a dog of the opposite sex. Is this true?

I took my Pom X to the groomer and asked her to clip his claws. She misunderstood me, thought I said "clip him" and when I picked him up he had been SHAVED! I was so horrified I didn't know what to say. He looks rediculous now and I'm worried about his body temperature being properly regulated. To top it off he goes in for surgery tomorrow to have some teeth pulled and I'm sure the vet is going to be surprised to say the least. Any suggestions on how to groom him myself from now on and how to make sure he's not too cold?

I have about 20 live bearing fish in my fish tank and one of my fish (i have no clue which one) had babies. They got eaten and i only saved one. I already have a live bearing container but its very hard to catch the fish and put them in so i don't bother. I have a filter that is under the gravel that sucks the water down and out the tubes in the corners and i wanted to know what i could do to protect the newborns i find in my tank? anything else i should know tell me! Thanks.

Please help.........

Spooky-boo, my FAVORITE hamster (out of five) had an attachment on her cage. The attatchment has a crack on it and splits in half to that you can clean it easily. Somehow, Spooky-boo found a way to squeeze out of her attatchment. We looked around. We think we have found squashed hammy poo on our backdoor steps (there are only 2 steps) we searched a couple of miutes ago, (aronud 10:20 p.m USA time) And found a wet, fresh spot of pee (about what a hamster would pee) under a couch cushin. We are sure we didn't squash him, becuase he would have squeaked. We set out catfood (her favorite food) out all over the carpet. Can you give me some ideas of places to search, what else i can do (We already have safe (non-killing) special hamster traps out) And how long can a dwarf go with out food/water?

Please help...........I miss her dearly. She has only been missing a couple of hours.!

The kitten is one month old.Never was sick before. Our vet (the only one in town) refuse to treat kittens under two months.I have no other vet to go to, so would try any homemade cure, if anyone know anything good.I'm giving it antybiotics, every six hours and it had its first kitten parasite tablet day before yeasterday. We had to hurry that, cause mother had some parasites while ago and we fear she somehow get them again. Kitten does not show signs of parasites. It still eat (milk and bisquites, fed by suringe from its second week (mother didn't have enough milk)), but it eats rarely and very poor. Most time it spend dozing and even awake, rarely moving. There is no mucus around his nose. It seam to me it does not have a fever and still breathing normal speed, but sometime shallow. Also,it seam to me its throat is little tumid. Is propolis tincture of any use in this sort of cases? What about of echinacea drops? What is a dosage of any of it sutable for one monts old kitten? Any other help?

What have you taught your dog? I'm just seeing what things I should still work on teaching her. If it's out of the ordinary (other than like sit, stay, lay down) could u explain how u taught them it?

Bonus" how long can u teach a dog for? I know it varies, but i have a lab/sheppard and she's nearing one year. Can u still teach them easily until like 2 yrs old or older or what?

I have heard of programs that train service dogs for the elderly. I was hoping to find a program that would provide a dog to assist with mobility and balance, fetching the phone, carrying small items, etc. My 73 year old Mom has mobilty issues and needs a cane or walker to ambulate and is alone during the day and would benefit from and be more active with a trained service dog. I was hoping to find such a program in or near the greater Pittsburgh, PA, area.

I have a 2 year old son, my three month onld cat and my son are best friends. They play great togather cat never scratches my son. BUT whenever my son goes to sleep, my cat trys to nibble on mine sons ear and sleep on my sons head. not over his mouth or anything, so he's not keeping my son from breathing, he just wakes him up every time he does this. If I wake up and remove the cat from the room the cat comes back several times a night and does the same thing. I don't wanta sleep with my bedroom door closed or lock the cat up and I don't wanta get rid of him b/c my son loves him, but I can't have this happen anymore as my son is't getting a good nights rest and neither am I. If this keeps up I will have no choice but to give the cat away. Has anyone had an experience like this or can tell me what to do to make this stop.

Please read all of this and tell me if you agree:
Animal testing has got to be stopped. 500 million animals die per year due to animal testing. Why are we testing on innocent creatures who don't deserve it? There are plenty of other ways, such as coloning human skin. Animal skin is so much different from human skin anyway! And with our technology, surely, we can find different ways to test then testing on animals.
Quoted from Animal Xp: "Deaths through research are absoloutely unnesessary..."
It is crazy how we put animals in cages, sometimes only to be used for their skin.
Animal testing is wrong, and needs to be stopped, before things get out of hand.

He's an indoor cat and has a scratching post, but seems like he prefers the couch and chair (and carpet) best.
We don't want to have him declawed, and I don't think we can anyway because of his age....so what do we do?
We have a 2-month-old baby at home as well, and he doesn't attack the baby, but if he does, we don't want him to tear him to shreds!
