Yes, they probably will. But that is the way nature takes care of things. You can try the turkey baster, but you could also frighten them so bad that they will stress and die.

Please...I hope that you have not taken the advice of many of the people who posted here already and taken them from the nest. The mother's instinct told her that where she nested the babies is safe. I know that you are concerned, but do not fret. The soil will absorb the water. This happens all the time. If it would make you feel better to remove some of the water, than do so...but be warned that you are disrupting the nest and the babies.
You are likely to never see the mother. She comes early morning and late at night, and for only a few minutes at a time, to prevent predators from noticing the babies. Having you being near the nest constantly is making her stay away as well, because you are a predator in her eyes, not someone that is trying to help.

Keep an eye on the situation to see if the mom returns soon. If she doesn't you can chance removing the rainwater, but pull up some grass and rub it on the turkey baster and both your hands, this may disguise your scent.
If the mom hasn't returned by tomorrow, contact a wildlife rehabilitator who will advise you what to do. Check with your humane society to see if they can refer you to a wildlife rehaber.

its not safe for them then. What I would do is take them inside and after it stops raining put them back. The mom will come back. If they are naturally wild in your area then do as I posted, well if you want. If they are not natural and could have just escaped from an indoor home then I would keep them inside. e-mail me please and I can give you answers on what to feed them if they aren't ferral.
