Animal testing has got to be stopped. 500 million animals die per year due to animal testing. Why are we testing on innocent creatures who don't deserve it? There are plenty of other ways, such as coloning human skin. Animal skin is so much different from human skin anyway! And with our technology, surely, we can find different ways to test then testing on animals.

It is crazy how we put animals in cages, sometimes only to be used for their skin.

I hate animal testing, exspecialy when I see it done to my favorite animals. It makes me want to cray and kill people who do that, becuase they make animals suffer, for their own selfish needs.
You are right, human skin vs. animal skin is different, they should think twice before testing on poor and inociant animals.
I would give anything to make the people who test animals suffer. Like, I want them to test the products, see how THEY like it. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

You are an emotional child.
A strike involves workers protesting wage and working conditions. You are not a worker demanding higher wages or medical benefits. Think again and read my reply!
Yes, some forms of animal testing is bad, but thousands of PEOPLE, and I imagine you are a person, have benefited as the result of animal testing. Thousands of people live normal, healthy lives because artificial heart valvues were tested on animals first. And in fact there are many canine family members (pet dogs, for the illiterate in here) are alive because their human caregivers have had vets perform life saving surgery on them. Yes, dogs now get heart valvue surgery. The result of animal testing now saves the lives of dogs as well as humans!
Cosmetic testing on animals is not done very much any more.
You have been reading some pretty inflamatory websites. Just use cosmetics that are labeled "cruelty free" and you'll be okay.
Making inflamatory, overly emotional statements here only tell the other community members you are an overly emotional child who still needs grow up.
Another young girl wanted to go "on strike" over this same issue earlier this year. Was it you?

If the animals are treated as humanely as possible I have no problem with animals used in research. I used to work in a research facility. We took very good care of the animals there. They were treated with repect.
Now if you want us to start testing on humans, let me know, because I won't volunteer for that!

Animal testing is not just about skin and cosmetics. Personally I don't care if they ever test another lip gloss on an animal, let your girl friends' lips fall off in school, who cares. There are so many other reasons animal testing still exists and until YOU volunteer to be our "guinea pig"(no pun intended), I guess it's going to be that way. Like it or not. And the word is "CLONING" not coloning.
PS: Guess what they tested cloning on?

one way in helping to stop all this testing on animals is before you by thing check the labels, if it says anything about animals was tested , put it back. there are a lot of us are doing that, when you hurt their pocket book they start looking for other ways to test their products.

Do you want to volunteer to see if the new laser surgery is safe? Do you want to try out the new medicine to see if it will keep your child from getting cancer? Animals serve a purpose in testing. You just have to learn to look at the pros and cons of it.
