I paid 1200.00 for mine and she is pet quality and tiny (3 pounds). Females usually range 1200.00 and up. I have never seen one for less unless it came from a mill.
You have to be extremely careful who you buy these little dogs from, they over breed them and in-breed them so badly you end up with a very expensive pet in the end due to vet fee's.
You are better off spending more and meeting the breeder and seeing where the pups and parents live..
If you find a free one, it will be an adult with many issues..That i can promise you. Nothing is truly free anymore...

Free or cheap means that you don't have the funding to adequately take care of a "toy breed".
Realistically the free dog will cost you in vaccinations, licensing, vet exams, spay or neuter costs, training, replacing/cleaning carpet (they all do it!), dog house, pet carrier, an on and on and on for 10-15 years if it stays healthy. Don't forget emergencies! They all have them too, a ripped nail, slipped knee, they get stepped on, attacked by another dog or cat, hit by car, choke on treat and on and on....
If someone gives you a "free" yorkie it would be because it has problems that you don't have the money to take care of!
Don't be selfish! Don't get a dog until you are financially able to support it!

No you are either looking for a yorkie pup and are willing to pay accordingly OR you would like a free dog that needs a good home and has likely been abondoned or neglected by the previous owner and is likely NOT a yorkie.

you ought to carry out slightly study on both breeds and bypass visit a Chihuahua breeder and a Yorkie Breeder and visit for a lengthy time period and word in case you ought to cope with the breed you opt for and likewise to make sensible of the temperment of the breed, that you already know her or his needs. Then get exhilaration from your pup.

Go to a shelter. The dogs are usually at least one year old or older. They have cheap dogs there. I dont think you can get a puppy because they cost about 1000 dollars, hope you find one though.
