How is it, some people can let birds go in their back yards when they decide they don't want it anymore? I was shopping one day in a town about 60 miles from where I live, and ran into one of my hometown friends, well, luck has it she was going to her uncles for dinner. she called me on her cell, her uncle had found a bird in the feild behind their house. My friend called me, knowing I am an amimal lover, and told me the story. Her uncle had gone to neighboring houses to see if the bird got loose. The owner of the bird (small parakeet) just didn't want it anymore. So she let it go. It's wings were just freshly cut too, so it couldn't fly away from preditors. How can ppl do this? Have they no respect or conscience? I told them to call a pet store, sometimes they take animals back. My friend called me back and it was a no go for one of the big pet store chains. SO, I called my pet store, and luck would have it, they took the lil bird in to find it a new home. HOW can ppl do this??????

Normally around bedtime or calm down time Snook (my dog) will lay down and suck one of his toys.Ex. he has a stuffed mouse that he will hold on to and suck.and sometimes I'm laying on the couch and he will suck my thumb and fall asleep.I know it's weird but is it normal.I think it's cute.but thats just me. I have pics of him doing this but I dont know how to link them on here.

I asked a question earlier. I asked how many hours it was healthy for a dog to stay in their kennel. Everyone wrote me back asking if it was a kennel or a small crate. Im sorry for the confusion. I mean a small crate. Thanks for all the help!

Too high to reach and probably couldn't even get a net into the tree. Have hung a cage there with food inside but he doesn't seem to go there. He is too lightweight to trip an animal trap. Must get him, can't survive a northern winter.

Not just things on the ground, but she pulls things off of their beds and goes into the closets to get their shoes (and mine).

I have at cat at my mom's house and he's about 13 years-old. My sister is moving out in about 2 weeks and we are worried that Bro is not going to get the attention that he's used to once my sister leaves because my mom and her boyfriend have a dog they pay attention too all the time. So i'm thinking about moving my cat down to my house with me and my boyfriend so he will remain in a house where he will get the attention he has always had. The only problems are my cat doesn't like to travel at all and since he's been living at my mom's house for so many years how is he going to adapt to moving to a new place all together?? Please help I love my cat dearly and am afraid that if he stays at my mom's house he's going to get sick because he's going to be left alone and on the other hand i don't know how well older cats adapt to new surroundings.

I see pictures of beautiful betta fish with lots of cool colors. Dose petco sales good looking betta fish or petsmart or what other store.
And Last week I put in my female betta fish in the other side if the divider with the male for like 20 min. Then I took her out and she was a stripe up. And the next day she was still stripe up and today she is still stripe up. Does this mean that she is pergnate and if she is making eggs will she absorb them back becuz i dont have the right equipment to breed them yet.

I have a really friendly basset hound and i just adopted another 2 year old mongrel who's coming home on Saturday and i'm afraid they won't get on even though they're both friendly yet both male. Does anyone know of any ways to introduce them to each other or how to treat each one so they don't get jealous?
