assuming you have actually gone looking for it (sometimes they get locked in neighbours garages)
put up posters
call your local SPCA or animal shelter (call a vet if you dont know if you have an animal shelter that would take in the strays)
ad (offer a reward) in newspaper
dont give up hope sometimes it takes 2-3 months - dont limit yourself to your area
if somebody calls you saying they found a cat matching yours description go see - it is not unusual for neighbours to pick up cats that are loose and dump them in other parts of town to get them out of their neighbourhood...
when you find her - keep her indoors

put a bell on its collar. they can be heard more easily than just tags. that way you could probably hear your cat running around if its not totally silent in your house.

if you have looked in your neighborhood, and surrounding areas, then check with the local animal control, SPCA, and then put up signs. good luck.
