how do u train caliver king charles spanial puppies?

I am getting a tri colored calaiver and i need some training tips and ideas! help?

Basically the same way you'd train any other spaniel. The Cavalier King Charles is a very intelligent dog (although in my experience kind of a wimp at the vet) and makes a great companion dog.

Check out PetSmart; they have pretty good training courses that are affordable, or pick up a book on dog training (which generally have different sections for different dogs) at your neighborhood bookstore.

For house breaking crate training is the best. Depending on how old the puppy is, Pet Smart has some great puppy school classes that you should look into. Also, make sure you have a few toys and reprimand the puppy when he chews on things other than his toys. And I know this is a little gross, but when puppy goes to the bathroom anywhere but in his/her crate or outside, you need to rub it's nose in it and tell it no very sternly. Puppys are cute and fun but a lot of work. Good luck!

great breed, i've got one too (Momo means peach blossom in japanese) have to be very careful with this breed lest you could make it very timid. they are easy to train as they will adapt to your lifestyle quickly. use nothing but praise and positive reinforcement and you'll be surprised at how quickly he/she learns. they love people and are mad cute. my dog literally sleeps with her head on my wifes fore head. good luck
