Normally around bedtime or calm down time Snook (my dog) will lay down and suck one of his toys.Ex. he has a stuffed mouse that he will hold on to and suck.and sometimes I'm laying on the couch and he will suck my thumb and fall asleep.I know it's weird but is it normal.I think it's cute.but thats just me. I have pics of him doing this but I dont know how to link them on here.

He might have been taken from his mom too soon. It's soothing for him to suckle. Most of the time they'll kneed with their front paws too. There's nothing wrong with it, he'll probably just be more attached to you (his new mom) than a normal dog.

We have the same issue with our Boston Terrier and he's over 2 years old. He sucks on his stuffed toys and falls asleep. It's a comfort issue...reminds them of their mother. It's very cute to see...don't worry about it.

A one-year-old Pom is a bit old to be sucking still. Normally dogs will chew tokeep thier teeth in line and break in new teeth.
You should bring your dog to the Vet to ensure he doesn't have a dental issue.

He was taken from his mom too early, but it is ok for him to do it. My sisters cat use to suck her ear.
