I threw some firecrackers (seriously big firecrackers - torpedo bombs) in my dads lake today. He got rather mad and stated this can kill the fish in the lake. When I asked him for an explanation as to how, he stated the concussion can break the tiny bones in fishes ears and they lose track of their direction and balance. Do fish even have ears? And can they really be killed in this fashion.

I have tried everthing I can think of-- squirt gun, tin foil, double sided tape, noise makers, etc. Nothing makes a big enough impression on her to keep her from jumping right back up there. What else can I try?

I know that fleas are very dangerous for the babies. I didn't find out until Patches was already pg that she had fleas, so I couldn't use anything on her or it would have gotten to the babies. Now the kittens, mommy, and their bed are full of fleas. The babies are a week old. How can I get rid of them without harming any of them? I don't want to lose them because of flea infestation. Please help! I only have about $10 until this weekend, so I can't get very much. And I don't have a flea comb. Can I get a flea comb, comb the babies, and dip the comb in a bowl of water with soap to kill the fleas? What can I use on Patches so it won't harm the babies when they crawl all over her? I can wash the bed in hot water, but not until they are all treated. I am very concerned and plan to call the vet tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone can help me. I also have another adult cat with fleas that doesn't go around the babies and I do plan to get her treated right away.

I have a female cat and she is definately an out door cat. She refuses to stay indoors. I am moving to another home and I am taking her with me. I am afraid when I move there and if she gets out she might freak out and get lost or run away...Should I force her to stay indoors and for how long? Any suggestions?

I was cleaning the bathtub this morning, I was in a natural state if you know what I mean LOL! Anyway, I was spraying on the scrubbing bubbles, and my dog mounted me, and held on and started you know. He even grabbed my sides w/ his paws, I freaked out and could not speak or move. What should I do about this behavior, did I do the right thing?

I have a 1 week old chicken egg that may be fertile. I've been keeping it warm using a homemade incubator I made myself using a plastic box, towels, a heating pad and a small container of water for humdity. I had planned to tell my parents about the egg but my Mom found the incubator today and seemed a little upset.

I explained to both of my parents about the egg everything is ok, but now that my Mom has taken apart the incubator and has taken back the heating pad, how do I keep the egg warm now? I DON'T have a heat lamp and I don't think asking for the heating pad back is a good idea right now.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on keeping this egg warm?

I only have another 10 days before it possibly hatches and I would like some advice on how to continue incubating it.

My dog is always, always a mellow dude. But tonight, of course, he's a nervous nelly. The fireworks outside are turning my 120lb rottweiler into a big baby! I love him and would like to help calm him down. Other than giving him a couple of benadryl tabs, what can I do?
