I have a dog I just got from my friend and I really love this dog. But when she uses the bathroom i can see white worms that die shortly after she uses the bathroom (#2) The puppy is approx. 5 1/2 weeks old what can I do to completely eliminate these worms they are scaring me. I'm taking her to Petsmart today to get de-wormed is there anything else I can do?

I woke up this morning and my one cat Oliver was whining which he tends to do before he throws up he did this for about and hour and then threw up. there was a very small piece of string in his vomit. earlier in the morning I put out food for the boys and he didn't come and eat I picked him up and brought him to his food. he didn't eat it all. I took his temp after he threw up and it was 102.8 F. and then I just took his temp again and it was 103.3 which 103 is a fever. I was holding him and he was shaking slightly. he is just laying around not doing too much. He has a vet appointment tomorrow. is there anyone knows what I can do in the meantime. we are just monitoring him right now and I'm taking his temp about every hour if it gets too bad I'm going to call the emergency number.

Thanks!

I've had my two rats for a bit more than a year but only Flora allows me to pick her up and even then she wriggles like mad. Stell will just about take treats on my lap but she often runs off to eat them. It says in the pet book that rats are supposed to be friendly and that they will ride on your shoulder! Why don't mine?
P.S Stella jumps a foot in the air if you startle her (slamming doors, sudden movements etc.)

I have a chow chow [mix with germ. shep]. I know she gets excited sometimes but I've never seen dogs act in the manner she does. She runs around the backyard super-duper fast in circles, I'm talking full speed. She just takes off for about 3 minutes and jumps and jukes all around the backyard. 97% of this is her running in circles all over the place, hitting every corner she can, I mean...she literally makes the grass come up. I think it's funny but I just wonder if this is abnormal dog behaviour. She is not a puppy either, but she always does this.

or is there another reason? He is happiest when someone is holding him. He seems to "purr" when I hold him.

Our dog had she gotten bred, should have had puppies round the middle of June. She showed no signs of being pregnant and has not been with another male since the attempted breeding. She has recently, though, showed signs of uddering down and yesterday (july 3) she is definitely producing milk. What's going on here?

I got home about an hour ago after being gone for a few hours. I got home to find my two cats--mother and daughter--yowling and hissing at each other. This is weird, because they're basically best friends. The only other time I've seen this happen is when I took the kitten to the vet to have her spayed, and when I brought her home, the mother started hissing at her because she thought the kitten was a foreign cat--the kitten still had iodine on her belly from the surgery, so she didn't smell like she did before the surgery. After a few days of hissing, growling and spitting at each other (first the mother, then the daughter), they were back to acting like friends. But I don't know what could've happened in the past few hours that now has both of them acting like this. Since they've both been spayed, it wouldn't be hormonal. Any other cat lovers have a clue what the deal might be?
