Well I have a coton de' tulear and apart of the ACC. I have 2 females but breed only one. A male should be apart of the ACC and be under the Stud list. People near the state and others near and around your state will call you wanting to use your stud. To breed you just put the female and male in a room and they will do the rest. Make sure the female is in heat. There should be an offer of money for return of the stud service. You can breed as long as you want and as often. Only females should take time off.It is accepted of you to keep the dog at your place for as long as needed. Unless the other owner sccepts him. Hope you have fun! Welcome to the breeding business.

If you would have bought your coton from a code of ethics breeder you would not be asking this question. Did you get him from a pet shop, pet auction, puppymill? Do you know all of the health tests that were done on the dogs in his pedigree? Do you know the temperment of all the dogs in his pedigree? Just because two dogs look nice and act nice doesn't mean they would be a good breeding pair.
Who told you he was a breedable coton?
Well anyway there is a Coton de Tulear Club of America that has a hotline available for anybody that has questions, 1-607-775-0004

How do you know your dog is "breedable"
Have you have fertility testing done?
Have you had any genetic testing done?
Has this dog been deemed anything other than pet quality?
Have you shown this dog in confirmation shows?
Has he earned any titles or any points towards a title?
What makes you think anyone would want to use your dog for a sutd?
Just becasue YOU did not have him neutered does not mean anyone would want to use him for breeding. If you can not answer any of the above questions you should not be breeding this dog.

I agree totally. Everyone thinks they have a breedable dog just because it is not fixed!!!! You probably bought a pet quality dog and now want to make some money off it!!!!!
If it is not show quality and been to shows and is at least POINTED, then do not breed it!! Also you need to find out and get the health checks that are required of that breed.
The only reasone to breed, is to improve the breed. Breeding pet quality dogs does not do this!!!!!

OMIGAWD!! Just because it has balls does NOT mean it's breedable!!! What else can you offer? Is he finished?(& if you don't even know what that means...you have no business even CONCIDERING it.) Other titles?
Why on earth would anybody want to use your dog when there are HUNDREDS of top-quality,CHAMPIONS available???
