some kind of algae meal, fish meal,beta carotene for the fishs immune system and coloration , also shrimp meal and the most important is omega-3 fatty acids that boost your fishes immune system so it can be disease free. and also for the coloration.
if youre looking for more color the omega is a bet and it is for disease protection so the fish wont get sick. and the fish can live a healthy life. or feed them shrimp if they are carnivores or any tipe of meat matter that is safe for aquarium use.if they are omnivores give them some kind of algae meal some people even give them some cucumber. if they are omnivores give them both just vary the diet of the fish from meaty foods to algae or plant matter .

carnivores can have tiny bits of lettuce. Carnivores can have tiny bits of cooked egg yolk but it could cloud your water. Why don't you just buy the food from the pet store. It has what they need in it and isn't that expensive.
