I would call the RSPCA or RSPB but they eat insects so try meal worms or small crickets available from most pet shops, truth is however they'd eat flying insects naturally but you won't come across them so easily.

When feeding them use tweezers it's the closest and most precise instrument to a parents beak.

That should tide you over but try to get it to a professional or a local sancturary, wildlife centre or vets as soon as you can.

I have swallows nesting in my cow shed right now. Chicks are very advanced at this time. I imagine this one's fully enough feathered?

Anyway, * IF * it's still alive by the time ye read this; For gods sake don't feed it meat. I've just kept a young Swift going for four nights on minced beef. That was the night I found the " London Swifts " site, where they said meat will kill it. Bloody right too ~ stone dead the next morning :-(

Follow that link someone gave above. Get it to a local bird rescue. If it's dead already; Get a donation to the bird rescue. I know how damnably hard they must work to keep such creatures alive.

is not the easiest and best (for the bird) way to handle this that you try to put it back in the nest? cant you access the nest somehow? dont worry that the parents would refuse it, that is a myth, swalows are not mammals, cannot smell your scent on it. tha little swallows mom and dad know the best how to care about it. if the nest is too high for you ask some animal charity if they can do it - the have equipment for such operations . give it boiled water (cooled, of course) and flies and all other soft bodied insects, that is better than anything. supplement with crumbled yolk of hardboiled eggs - boil it at least 10 minutes!!! - with water. but if you honestly want the best for it, return it to mom and dad, please, asap

Firstly you have to get a box, tank, cage, something to keep the bird safe and warm in. You will need a lamp to keep the bird warm, and you are going to have to start feeding this little thing asap, or you might lose it. Catch moths, bugs, crickets, any insects, but be sure they are not too big for the swallow, they will eat any type of insects, they will also eat worms, but try and feed the babies about every two hours, and feed them water as well via syringe. Good Luck

I have had luck feeding abandoned hatchlings with baby cereal such as Gerber rice with bananas, mixed into a soupy consistency with water, using a skinny tipped syringe (NO needles, lol). Keep this bird in a small box with paper towels in the bottom and a lamp close enough for warmth. Baby birds need to be offered food about every 2 hrs or so. Sometimes, parents abandon their babies because they know something is wrong with them in the first place and will die anyway, so just chalk it up to nature's way, if the baby dies anyway despite your best efforts.

You may try gram flour or biscuits in powder form. Whatever you give, be sure that the same is in liquid form. Most of all, love the creature in a manner to make it feel that u are the mother.

get it to a local wildlife sanctuary as fast as possible. Drip water into its mouth from a cottonwool bud and see if you can find a couple of caterpillars in the garden. Tere is no ope of rearingtis bird yourself unless you have specialist experience and knowlege

The parents will come back. Don't go near it or they will be too scared. Very unlikely you could hand rear it succesfully, best to leave it alone and keep the cat indoors!
