I have one cow, (family milk cow), and I realized that she had mastitus about a week ago, and have since been treating her for it, but I am wondering what causes it in the first place? I keep her clean... and she isn't running around in any brush or brambles, she's not with any other cattle or horses... why does she have this right now?
It's not uncommon for cattle to get this, when their dirty, or running around... but...

Eddie was neutered one week ago. Seems to be healing well; however ,the last 2 days he is having difficulty keeping food down> He eats a lot of grass. I have heard hamburger and rice mixture may help. Anyone have an answer before I call my vet? Thanks.

She is an indoor dog. We have had her anal gland check. And it is not clogged or in need of draining. However she always smells. It doesn't matter how many time we bath her. Any ideas????

My little guy is a VERY picky eater, the vet suggested changeing to a senior formulated dog food, I couldn't find one he would eat, and I tried every brand on the market. At the next vet visit his liver enzymes were higher and the Vet prescribed a multi-vitamin. The vitamin is liver flavored, he won't eat it. He doesn't eat treats so I can't even camouflage it. I tried grinding it up and putting it in his food, and having a test of wills, he went 3 days without eating. He's 6 years old, weights 5 pounds, and is too small to go without eating for 3 days, I gave in. Trying to force it down his throat is a fight worthy of a Las Vegas showdown. Any suggestions?

Are there any laws in New York to prohibit a "backyard breeder" from continually breeding and selling dogs known to have hip dysplasia, heart problems, and so on? Does anyone regulate this? Who would it be reported to? I've made several complaints, but it seems that "it's not our problem"

My cat's name is GREASY
Reason: I got him at the SPCA, they told me he was the only survivor in the litter where they found him in a mechanic garage covered in grease! So now, he's my "GreaseMan".

It seems to work for people who own cats. I remember as a child the boy next door would fire stuff at me with his slingshot, until I filled my water pistol with some raunchy perfume and got him good.

I dont mean like s/he can sit, play dead, roll over, bla bla. I mean something funy and cute.
For example, my dog Max, which is a black lab, used to LOVE bread. Give him any kind of bread and he will eat it. Well one day I had a few pieces of buttered toast left over from supper, so I gave them to him. There were about 4 or 5 pieces so I just layed them in his bowl for him to eat. Well when I came back to check on him, I found the bread laying in the floor with perfect little holes eaten out of the middle of the slices where the butter had been. He only ate the butter part of the bread! Now whenever I give him bread, he wont eat it unless there is butter smeared all over it!

Does anyone have a pet that does this or other funny little things?
