I think rats are THE best pets, if you take the time to get a good one that is not skittish or that bites.
In general, males make the more interesting pets, although they tend to dribble urine a little as they explore things.
They almost certainly will poop on you once in a while, but it is a dry, round pellet that is not very offensive.
So, why rats?
- Rarely bite, but might lick off salt or 'taste' you
- Learn to identify you and can come when called or respond to you in many positive ways
- Don't tend to run away, but will actively explore new places
- Often come to like being handled and played with
- Easy to care for, minimal cost, little smell
- Not nocturnal, no sounds all night long, or grumpy pets during the day

Guinea pigs they are larger than a hamster but easer to take care of. If you want to get one make sure you get it a friend of the same sex boy/boy or girl/girl if you dont want to deal with the babies. Also because they are a larger rodent they need a big cage maybe one foot (30cm) by one foot for each pig. They will also need a play room for when they are awake. I use a big storage container from walmart about 2 feet (60cm) wide by 3 feet (1m) long with a side all around at least 8 inches (20cm) high mine is about 12in high. Hope this helps also i got my Guinea pigs bird toys the lovt to make the bells ring. Also they are kind and have never bitten me or my family.

One of the best pets believe it or not is a rat. They are friendly and smart. As for the thing about being pooped on...maybe you shouldn't have an animal period..you cannot guarantee that an animal is not going to poop on you.

Rabbits are awesome pets. They generally pick a corner of their cage to poop in--so you get a corner litter box for them. You can also house train them.
Rabbits are quiet and don't bite.
They are easy to care for.
The don't require any routine shots or vet visits.
They can be left alone for vacations if you give them eough water bottles and feed.

Please study the web before considering a guinea pig. they take a lot of special care, dedication, and feeding to keep them healthy. I know! Mine are 6 years old.

pooping, peeing, and eating is what piggies and other rodents do. that's what folded towels are for. LOL

dogs are great pets. they can be trained and stuff like that. they also have cool personalities. i just lost a dog and if you arent ready for big responsbilities and "accidents" then dont get a dog. start with like a fish or something. cause when you loose a dog its like loosing your best friend. if your ready for that then get a dog and good luck!!
