Hi, I have a pup before, he also keeps on chewing my shoelace, and if he's not that happy yet, he'll eat some part of the shoe. I thought of spreading a minced red hot chilli pepper on the lace and some parts of the shoes. (only a little rub so he still can still tolerate) He went on circles and swoosh all his head to his water bowl. After that, even if you push the shoe near him, he would get away. Now he's a big dog and still very cute. Good luck!

Spray the shoelaces with a cat repellent. It can be purchased at a pet store. They won't go near it for a loooong time. It smells fine to a human but cats hate it! Good luck!

TRY SOME OF THE "NO CHEW" OR "STOP CHEW" SPRAY THAT YOU CAN PURCHASE AT ANY DEPARTMENT OR PET STORE. THIS SHOULD DO THE JOB. IF NOT, TRY USING THE "STOP THUMB SUCKING" OIL (GET AT A PHARMACY) THAT IS USED FOR BABIES AND YOUNG CHILDREN. IT IS REALLY AWEFUL TASTING AND BITTER, YET WILL NOT HARM YOUR KITTY IN ANY WAY.
