I have 2 Golden Retrievers, both were rescue dogs. Dusty doesn't mind the noise at all, but Duke turns into a velcro lap dog. (And he weighs 108 pounds.)

I have a lab. We live near an amusement park that lights fireworks every night at 10. He sleeps through them. But god forbid a leaf passes by the window and he freaks out.

My Corgi could care less but my other dog (unsure of breed) crawls into any small area she can find and hides. Add to that there were thunderstorms all day and THEN fireworks...I need a crow bar to get her out now. LOL

ya, even cats freak out on fireworks! Dogs and cats have much better hearing then we do so the sound is like 10 times louder for them.

My dogs dont freak out with loud noises etc. They sit with us and watch fireworks. We used to bang pots and pans together when they were puppies while they ate (doing something that they enjoy) so they woould not be gun shy or afraid of thunder and fireworks. They sleep through all storms and stand right next to my husband while he hunts with them.

LOL I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and he loves fireworks. He sits and watches them go off and turns his head to the side. It is sooo cute!!

Mine doesn't anymore. The year we got him was 4th of July and he was just around 10-12 weeks old. He shook everytime they went off. Now, he doesn't pay attention to them b/c he is used to my grandpa shooting blanks to scare the birds away.
