Do I have to call ahead, have crews come out to mark off where gas/electrical lines are? Or is it a non-issue when you are only digging 1 ft?

My mum gets a catalogue. Can she recommend me so we can both get a lufly discount, even though we're at the same address? They might think we're trying to pull a fast one.

I picked one already that was orangish in color and it was really good with olive oil! Some others were on the ground so I picked those so they wouldn't get bugs. But they are green. Will they ripen in my kitchen by themselves?

I am hopefully moving house in a week or so. Any useful tips, I have not done this for 25 years, so am out of practice, and I don't like it so far. The house looks like a bomb site. I am getting rid of things I have had since I was a teenager, so the stress level is high.

I've always been afraid of wild mushrooms. I'm fine with edible mushrooms, but whenever I see mushrooms in the wild, I wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot pole. Well, maybe I WOULD touch them with a 10-foot pole, but I certainly wouldn't touch them with my bare skin! Anyone else like this? I've never heard of a term for a "fear of mushrooms."

My mother is terrified a group kids in their late teens and early twentys have been jumping her fence and her nieghbors fence. (She has a 10 ft tall ivy fence around the house.) When the person next door yelled at the kids, they blew up his shed the next night. The have also been caught trying to posion his dog. My mother has heard gunshots in the area. She cannot afford to move, and the police said they are aware of gang activity and are investigating but nothing has happened in the last 3 months, of this being reported. This is in a small town, which intill recently has been very safe. The problem started when they put in low income housing two blocks down the road. Does anyone have any suggestions?

He's not overly huge but I think he's mature enough to have the little sprouts now. I heard that it should be in a small pot so there are lots of roots and this is true but I think he maybe needs re-potting because he's so root bound. Is there a problem here?

I talk to him and offer lots of encouragement and he's looking good and healthy (no brown tips or anything) Any Ideas? I want him to explode and take over my terrace with the offspring.

i just moved into a two bedroom two bathroom apartment in Southern California. It gets really hot in the late afternoons and I get tempted to use the AC. Normally, I turn the AC on for about five hours a day and then use ceiling fans when I go to sleep.

I really don't want to get a high electrical bill in the mail, so I am concerned about how much running the AC everyday will cost. The AC unit is one of those energy star efficient types, if that makes a difference.

Please give me a dollar amount estimate of how much running the AC 5 hours a day every day will cost for a month. Thanks in advance.

I'm taking care of my neighbor's animals and they're away on vacation. Their cell phone number is in the house and by accident I locked the door leading to the garage which was the only unlocked door I used. They come home tomarrow afternoon so now I need to know what would be the best thing to do. Is there anyway to pick the lock of a key-hole door?

I don't have many kitchen utensils, but they are just thrown into a large drawer that isn't very deep. It looks sloppy and disorganized. I could buy a nice utensil holder, but I prefer to keep my counters fairly clear. I have some candles and a few decorative accesories, but that is pretty much it. My kitchen is small and I relish what counter space I have. Any tips for keeping the drawer organized? Do they sell a utensil organizer for drawers? Any tips that you may use that work?

My hummingbirds can really eat up the nectar in my feeders. I like to thoroughly clean each feeder before re-filling it. To simplify this process, I make a large batch of h-food (4 to 1 water to sugar) and freeze it in advance. I've found the 32 oz. cottage cheese containers hold the perfect amount for my feeders. When a feeder is low or needs changing, I defrost a container, and clean the feeder thoroughly, then fill it up. Is there anything wrong or harmful about doing it this way? I also like to wait until the water has come to a boil before adding the sugar. Once the water is boiling, I reduce the heat, add the sugar and stir for 3-4 minutes until the water is crystal clear. This prevents boil overs. Again, is this approach OK?

Ok I have 4 acers of land I own. It will be built in a small city about 45 mins outside of Hattiesburg,MS. My husband works for a brick company so we'll get a discount there. But I want a round about cost for everything. From hired help to the people who draw up the plans to the inside and all being done and ready to live in. I don't want anything fancy just a basic 2 or 3 bedroom house. I have 15,000 and don't know if that's enough or if I should wait and save up more. I do not want to take out loans wanna pay cash for everything.
