I'm looking for 1-2 more flower varieties to create a "bouquet" effect in the drawing. Whether you think of folklore, climate, location...just looking for flowers that compliment poppies. Thank you!

Several years ago I had my house termited with the tent over the house. I need to do it again, BUT....last time....we had a Daddy Longlegs Spider inside behind the front door. He was kind of a pet (not really), but we said our goodbyes when we left the house to be tented and when we came back into the house a few days later, that spider was still alive. How could this happen we asked? So my question is...if tenting a house for termites can't even kill one little spider out in the open, how in the heck can it kill bugs inside the walls and wood? And can it kill ants inside the walls? Thank you

My neighbor tried to tell me today that our banana trees in our backyard are the reason she has large cockroaches in her yard and in her house. Personally I think she is full of beans because we have not seen any in our yard, let alone in our home. She said that she looked it up on the internet that cockroaches lived and breed in the roots of banana trees. Could someone enlighten me because I did a search and found nothing to back up her accusations.

Certain houseplants are known to be poisonous. Are they poisonous only if ingested or touched? or are they deadly even just having them around?

No flowers or buds, and it gets to be about two feet tall if we don't cut it. Once mowed, it makes for a nice ground cover. See photo:

How can you tell the difference (including habitat) between a common house wolf spider and a brown recluse? I understand the recluse as a fiddle on his back. And, yes, I realize that I can look this info up, but I'd like it from personal experience. Thanks!

I am 18. I would like to purchase a patch of land and create a farm and live on it for the rest of my life(most likely).
Should I read as many gardening books, etc as I can? What are your suggestions?
I would like a goat or two, chickens, bees, plants, etc.

I have a detached garage, and would like power to hoover out the car, mow the lawn, lights, possibly alarm etc.

Is it worth my while fitting a wind turbine for the bit of power I need intermittently.

I have 2 ferrers and we have a new gate. However the ferrets can easily get through the gate. Is there anything around the house that I could put on the gate to stop them escaping? Or do I need to go and buy some plastic?

Thanks!
