Had a Food Saver Professional II...fantastick machine...used all the time for YEARS, finally gave out on us, the company no longer makes that model which we have tons of attachments for. Has anyone had a great experience with a vacuum sealer? What brand - model is suggested please.

are you sure Food Saver not still in business? i just got one about a year ago at Walmart and they still sell the Food Saver brand zipping bags for sure. it works ok but has hard time sealing re-used bags.

Your question was which one to recommend. I have the Foodsaver V825. I love the canisters and the Mason lid.

food saver is still availbe at Wal-mart, check them out to see if your att, will work on,
