what makes them livestock or pets you just eat eggs of
my town has no specific ordinance for chickens just no livestock in city limits and no def of what livestock or farm animals is should I raise some or not?

Chicken's are farm animals, because they are also food. Dogs, cats, horses, these are pet's. But really chickens make good pets,I had a bunch of them and I would feed them from my frount porch, and when I did not feed them they would come up and peck on my door. They were fun!

Chickens are considered livestock. You could eat them or their eggs. Also some people don't want to hear the roosters.
Livestock is usually farm or ranch animals, wild animals tho that's usually a different statute.
