The (3) pine trees are just barely in my yard between my neighbors home and mine, and these trees were planted well before the homes were built ( actually cleared away) by the builder, I suppose some 25 yrs ago. It's clear that (1) tree root are going under his driveway and has cracked it. He says I need to cut them down so it doesn't crack his foundation. I asked if he would go halves and he said no, there in your yard not mine, and this needs to be done ASAP.
I told him that it would be cheaper to go halves than to pay some $40K in foundation repairs.
My claim is, I didn't plant the trees and the trees were there when we both our homes. Legally, do I have to flip the bill on this all alone since they are in my yard?

Hi - I am looking online for a sewing machine but don't know what I need....I found one that has a lot of features from http://www.overstock.com/
but at the end it says it is refurbished. Is it a bad idea to buy one like that? Should I just spend a little more money and get a new one? Thanks!

Is cheaper to use electricity when using a stove or dryer or will it be cheaper to use gas. I'm in the process of buying a home and I want to be as cost efficient as possible.

I would think that people could save water by just not turning it on so hard! The regular faucets will do the same thing and do not cost additional money. Just goes to prove what I often say, There is way too much money out there!

I'm not really into killing flies, but sometimes they bother me. Is there an effective way to trap them so that they can be released outside later on?

I have little, tiny brown bugs in my room and when I showed someone, they said it was probably gnats. Can gnats jump?

They previously had been thought to be fleas until I showed this person and they said it was gnats.

Right now we have sand in between each stone and it is a mess. The sand will not stay in place and the patio does not look complete. My husband wants to fill it in with grout- saying that mortar or concrete will be way too hard since it is a thin distance between each paver. Do you think grout will work? Any other advice?
THANKS! :-)

I've been trying to have garage sale to eliminate excess clutter, but many people that stop act like you should put FREE on everything and constantly offer you about 10% of the asking price. It's already cheap enough - like a 12-place setting dinnerware for $20!!! One guy selected a crystal beverage set (24 lovely stemmed goblets) which I had marked $5 and held out his hand. I said "It's five dollars." Then he said "Yeah, so where's the five?" It appeared he expected me to PAY him $5 to take it off my hands. Such affrontery! I'm really getting soured on garage sales.

I planted them from seeds directly in the ground .Their leaves grew nice and healthy and the radishes didn't,they even went to seed. This is my first time growing them.I have luck at everything else.My boyfriend is the one who eats them,so I left it to him to care for them, and he didn't seperate the seedlings as was told to do on the package, after they grew to a certain height.Could that have been the problem?

What type of extension cord do I use for my refrigerator so I won't damage it? I've seen different gauges and some other differences in extension cords. It is 3 prong.

This concerns my problem to what I think are called sugar ants, but I'm not sure. You see, I drank a can of Sprite last night and I woke up this morning to the empty can on my dresser just swarming with these little bugs! I threw the can out to get rid of them, but I saw them again a few hours later, running about on my dresser. One even managed to get on my arm without me realizing it until I felt a little sting. I look to see the small thing just positioned in one spot, so I swiped it off. I'm sure it bit me... but maybe I was imagining it? Anyway, these little creatures have somehow crawled onto other things in my room as I write this and I'm getting sick of the fact that they're actually here... I killed some with bug spray, but it only seems like others takes their place. I'm kind of afraid to sleep in my room tonight since I get the fear that I might wake up with them crawling over me...

What should I do to prevent these little insects from invading me and my room?
