I'm not really into killing flies, but sometimes they bother me. Is there an effective way to trap them so that they can be released outside later on?

Luckily there is not a way to repopulate the outdoors with the flies that have been inside your house.

Either keep the house clean and free from food garbage so they don't come in and puke germs onto your meals or just let them go wherever they want in your house and share the germs they picked up from outdoors. They would also be glad to leave lots of maggots in the home so you won't run out of flies after they are gone.

Why on earth would you want a humane fly trap?! Flies are horrid - they spread disease and are a big pain the *** - if it makes you feel any better about killing them, just remember that most of them only live a few days anyway!
If you honestly can't squish them or find someone that will, try getting one of those bug vacuums.

Don't you know that flies are nasty, disgusting, pestering little creatures that could spread diseases? Why on earth would you not want to kill a fly? I guess you don't like killing bed bugs either? I'm not trying to be mean but that's taking it a little too far for me!! I guess to each their own!!

Consider an accommodation with nature. A partnership with
an insectivorous Dionaea muscipula? Requires your warmth
and problems but not adverse to hand feeding otherwise. It
returns your bother to carbon and soil enrichment.
